No, but you along with most of Canada made up their mind on Bill 11 thanks to the liberal-biased national media which spread FUD at an alarming rate about the bill. It didn't help that Chretien spearheaded that campaign...

In the end, the rest of Canada was wrong anyway. But that didn't get much media coverage nationally for some reason.

Does anyone watch the CBC?

In Vancouver, the most popular newscast (BCTV) is pretty much anti-"whoever is in power". So they get accused of being pro-NDP when the right is in power and anti-NDP when the right isn't. But it's the same reporters, year after year, so I tend not to believe the "media bias" argument.

Ah. I didn't need the media to do that for me. Any bill which contains both the phrases "private" and "health care" is enough to trigger my alarm bells...

Private clinics shouldn't get government contracts; they should get nationalised.

BTW. CBC radio is quite popular in 'correct' intellectual circles. If you can call the current crop of inbred Liberal Arts faculty 'intellectuals'. So you don't have to watch it to get your dose.

What they didn't tell you is this happened already in Ontario, Alberta, and other provinces.

All Bill 11 did was add specific rules and regulations for how those clinics were to operate. Nothing changed from what happened before, except for clear and spelled out regulations.

You guys don't even know what it is, but the liberal media went on a field day with it blasting those crazy Albertans for wanting to privatize healthcare.
