Only ~1 100? Where'd you get that number? And what's the definition of "gay" according to the study that produced that figure? Was the study conducted nationwide? I won't say 28M is right, but a little of 1K sounds fairly low to me. Maybe the mass media is brainwashing my liberal mind.

Wow. 1000 homosexuals, and yet there are homosexual congressmen, TV personalities, and celebrities of every sort, not to mention Apolytoners. And they're running a grandiose conspiracy to subvert the Amurrikin way of life. They must be some kind of übermensch, every one of them. All America needs is a gay president and all-gay Senate and House, and it could take over the known universe in about 73 years.

It's a bit like with far-right-wing nut view of Bill Clinton, really. To do everything wingnuts claim Clinton did, and to get away with it, the man needs some kind of superpowers, not to mention a four-number IQ. Therefore, the logical course is to keep this intellectual giant at helm on nation for life and try to channel his evil energy towards constructive purposes.

I have seen the books they read from in class, such as "How do two little boys kiss" and "Sally has two mommies." IMHO it is appaling.

Heaven forbid children learn that homosexuals are people just like everyone else. Must better for them to go gay-bashing with baseball bat in case they're red-blooded, God-fearing heterosexuals, or keeping themselves in closet, getting married, then getting divorced after 10 years of marriage when he can't no longer pretend that his wife is a rough hairy sailor named Jimmy, and ruining his own life, his wife's life, and lives of his possible children. That's family values, see.

Seems that nowadays there are quite a few bisexual women, but not very many bi sexual men. I wonder why that is so, or if it's so at all.

I don't know if it's true, but it sure seems that way. I know lots of women who have had sex with other women, yet only a few men who've done the same. It's a good explanation though. If people see two guys together (kissing, whatever) they're disgusted, but when they see two women together it's considered sexy. But if that's the only explanation, then as many men are bi-curious as well, though won't admit it. Could be though...does anyone have any links on the matter? A teacher back in high school once made a claim that there are more gays than lesbians, but more bi-women than bi-men. He names some study which I already forgot long ago, though it could certainly be true since most organisations for homosexuals have far more gay than lesbian members.

That's a great quote. The only one I've heard thar beats it was the Parliamentary comment in the late 19th century (I forget who made it) that went "There are only about a dozen homosexuals in Britain and they are all known to the police".

Nonono, B*b, best quote about homosexuality ever is by a Finnish parliamentarian, of Centre Party (well, naturally.) He saith:

"If we allow gay marriage in Finland, sooner or later we'll run out of population."

What makes this especially funny/sad is that it was said last year, in parliamentary debate about allowing gay marriage.
