So as long as it's state sanctioned exploitation, it's okay, right?
Just no individual exploitation.
Good plan. Institutionalize the exploitation.
Do you not see the fundamental problems here??

The problem is with you Vel. You don't want to understand what people are saying. Really, I don't think a reasonable person will be affected by your cheap tricks.

I think he understands you pretty well. You seem to have trouble understanding your own beliefs.

Back to 'zazel: Sure there is. A capitalist is an individual, not an emmisary of the State. So a state bureaucrat who holds the purse strings and releases funds for the building of a new factory in a command economy is not a capitalist, he's merely carrying out his mandate (tho if the funds were disbursed to an individual then, yes, much like the SBA giving loans to individuals here, that person (the person receiving the funds) would be a capitalist...but that won't happen in a command economy, since the individual can't own anything).
Fundamental difference.

EDIT: Clarity
Well, that's hardly true. You're making a connection between an individual decision maker and ownership. What about corporate CEOs who own only a small fraction of their corporation? are they capitalists by your definition? or what if there is a board making a decision, and not a CEO? the act of bringing capital, even if not owned by them, is still the same investment to create wealth.
Call bull$hit all you want. What...do you want me to fax you the deeds?
Sheesh. Yes....we own three houses. Well, the bank owns most of them, but we're looking to have the first paid off in ~6 years.
We're even (I know this'll make your skin crawl) RENTING them out! Erm...I mean, charging usage fees. Our labor went into acquiring them and fixing them up, so why not? We're getting compensated for acquiring and fixing up two houses while we live in the third.
I'm SUCH a bad man...

PS to Tubes: That's something that the reds haven't really addressed yet. Some jobs are more "in demand" (even when you pretend the market doesn't exist) and as such will REQUIRE higher pay.
No...no specific plan from team red, but trust them, they've learned from the mistakes of the past and even flying blind, they'll get it right this time. Have faith, Comrade!

Exactly. His labor isn't paying for it. Other people's labor is paying for it.
His labor was getting the houses ready to be rent. His labor is cleaning and fixing the place when the renters leave. His labor is paying property taxes.

Oh and Tubes...you WILL work. They'll force you. Tell you where to go. The State'll handle it. Don't you worry!

'zazel: Yes. Capitalists frequently use "OPM" (other people's money). In your CEO example, the CEO has been given the green light by the shareholders of the company to act on their behalf. Still a fundamental difference from a government official acting out his mandate, especially given the command economy's lack of private ownership.

Ahhh, see you are a capitalist. You were just playing cheap tricks by implying that I didn't know that you were, and you are.
