We could even name it after Trudeau.

Well, we're going to have to figure something out to be fair to RoC. Billions of barrels of oil when oil is $40, $60, or $80 per barrel when the province collects 25% royalty is...

My figures may be off here or there, but any way you figure it is a massive amount of money. We need to find a way to help PEI and Manitoba on our own terms so that we do not face the prospect of Ottawa trying to impose their terms, again.

Aside from Ottawa, we should do something for the simple reason that it will be the right thing to do.

But Premier Ralph Klein ran a campaign so devoid of substance that one columnist dubbed it "Kleinfeld"-an election about nothing.
              I love that.

Not in the context of Canada.

Yes, just not in the context of Alberta. When people talk about U of C here, they mean the world famous institution in Chicago.

                  Not here.

When people say "You're from the UofC, right?" they mean Calgary, and not Chicago.

Maybe it has more to do with you being in philosophy and an instructor.

No it has to do with going to a proper university, not some glorified agricultural college out west.

Uh, I haven't really heard of it. What is it famous for? I know that the MIT is famous for engineering, Berkeley is famous for liberal arts, UCLA is famous for having a nice acronym, Harvard is famous for useless crap, and Stanford is also famous for useless crap.

Why is U. of Chicago famous?

It's "famous" because it's old, it's not particularly good at anything useful.

I think it's mostly an artsy school.

How can you consistently call it an agricultural college if it doesn't even have an agricultural program?

You shouldn't be tossing out insults of universities anyway. Which university did you go to, again? University of Wiccanananana or something?

Don't make me post pictures of the pretigous UofT stadium.

It went fine, but I accepted a Web Developer position at CIBC the same day, so the point is moot.

                                Something like that.

Actually, I discovered after coming here that I got a pretty good education there. NZ is odd. There aren't any really terrible universities - not like the US.

Not bad for someone who just went to uni so he would have an excuse to read weird books and other weirdos to talk about them with. At the time I started uni, NZ universities didn't even have ranking tables (I don't think they really do now). I just went to the one most of my friends were at, and I drank my way through first year.
