  • So you've changed the tune but otherwise you're marching on. The decisive turnout for Bush contrary to what you spent countless posts predicting with such vigor in the past weeks doesn't give you any cause to consider your tune of choice might be a little off?

I admit I was wrong about how the vote went. I can see that Bush clearly has confused you however. Apparently you'd respect me more if I didn't admit I was wrong.

Bush is the worse candidate, that's a fact. Of course, you don't care about the deficit, the debt, international relations/cooperation, the environment, the wealth gap, civil liberties, honesty, terrorism, or most other policies.

The facts are facts, Bush had worse platforms on all policy issues except the Conservative Christian ones.

Bush one the war of deceit. I have constantly said he was lying more and being deceitful more, I have pointed out situations where he has done it. I was overly hopeful in that I thought Democracy would work in spite of the lack of media and Republican responsibility on these issues. I was wrong.

If there's a senior citizen somewhere who can't pay for her prescription and has to choose between medicine and the rent, that makes my life poorer, even if it's not my grandmother. If there's an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties. • But that's the crucial point you're missing, democracy did work.

We're two days past the election with the biggest voter turnout ever, and a decisive victory for the President not seen since 1988. I thought that just maybe this would have something to do with other issues than who's the bigger liar...

They chose the worse candidate; it didn't work.

Bush supporters say that terrorism is one of their biggest concerns. They then go and vote to keep the guy that is making it worse by causing more and more of the world to hate us; feeding the causes of terrorism.

Again, I'd note that the East Coast, Miami, and the West Coast, all primary targets of Terrorism went with Kerry.

Democracy didn't work because it is supposed to pick the better of two candidates.

Oh, and values thing was crap. Kerry would have voted to ban partial birth abortions if it left room for the parents not to be informed (many reasons for this, one is parental rape). Lies and deception obscurred this. As for Gay Marriage, that is something that shouldn't be constitutionally legislated and it unduly hinders the freedom of a minority; again, it is something that the communities primarily effected (the urban ones with gays) voted for Kerry.

It's a bloody catastrophe of democracy in America. Most voters for Bush are badly misinformed (believing Iraq and Al Qaeda are substantial allies and thinking that Iraq had WMDs when we went in), and ignorant of all the other issues I said in this post and my previous one.

            • You seem to be the one who's badly misinformed on the intricate workings of democracy. But that's just my personal opinion, which of course shouldn't be taken seriously since I didn't come by Drachasor's place for his official stamp of approval.

Those who can't debate, like you, denounce.

                • This was a debate? I thought it was just you piling crap on the democratic process.

And how it failed due to Bush being able to lie so well people didn't understand the issues that were going on.

You are right though, it wasn't a debate, as I already implied.

It isn't that. It is that they didn't understand the candidates' positions on the issues.

In the US, at least, red=conservative blue=liberal to most people, though some associate the colors as you do. You'll just have to remember that when looking at US political maps. *Shrugs shoulders*
