Why does Bush win in case of a tie?

Its goes to the House of representitives for a vote. And in which case there are more Republicans in the house then dems.

Incombunts almost always win or atleast challengers face an up hill battle so it seems Bush will get the benifit of the doubt. I personally believe that Bush's tactic of calling Kerry a liberal and lying about past voting records is what tipped things.
Bad economy, divisive war, unpopular president and they still cant win. like four years ago this should not have been close. What happened?

                  • 20 k difference with 80% counted in NM
and still 100 K with 87% in Ohio

so it looks like at least 274 for Bush

You're right. That will be the final tally.

Well, remember how the Republicans in 1996 were chomping at the bit and Nancy Reagan had to step in and smack down the conservatives like Buchanan at the National Convention?

Well guess what? No one smacked down the liberals. They just kept pushing. And now their eggs have hatched.

Democrates? True but it looks like Republicans can't win in New England, the Pacific coast other then Alaska, or in the p;d industrial heartland except Ohio.
