  • It may not be over yet! Ohio is saying that counting the votes will take until 2 AM, and the Kerry camp estimates that Bush's lead will be about 50k at that point. HOWEVER, there are 250k provisional ballots yet to be counted!

Some stations have moved Ohio from the Bush count back to "too close to call". Could this be Florida 2000 all over again?
If Bush wins Nevada or Wisconsin (which are both at K50 B49), Ohio doesn't matter anyway.

No way. Bush is up more than 120,000 and most of the votes still to come in are from the conservative counties in the southwest. If anything I would expect Bush's lead to increase. I don't see how they could possibly get it down to 50k.

I only hope that the terrorists spare the people of New York and Washington, who had the sense to vote for Kerry.

            HEY!

California gave Kerry a very solid 55 electoral votes, the most in the nation, by a big margin.

            • fox calls ohio and alaska bush, but brit hume looks so uncomfortable with that call he appears to be about to puke. now fox news is holding off calling nev and nm which most certainly go bush so they dont have to call bush prez when they know that ohio is too close to call.

                • Nevada most certainly to Bush! I don't think so

Yucca mountain issue may put Kerry ahead in my state.

Kerry is currently leading my state by 1 pecentage point.

Bush has a 100,000 vote lead in Ohio with 92% of the vote counted, I cant see how Kerry can win Ohio now.

                        I agree...
New Mexico is actually much surer Bush than Ohio at this point, but they dont want to take the big step...

There are something like 250,000 provisional ballots that will not be counted for another 11 days. The contention is that they are overwhelmingly democratic votes.

                            • DD: I'm not buying your statement that either party is no longer a national organization. Even in the deep south or in the far west the opposition party is still polling 30%-40% so it seems they're both alive and well. As recently as 1996 the Democrates held several southern states all they really need is a good candidate who happens to be from the south.
