My best friend, whom I've known for 15 years now, his nickname was Yoda, because he's really tall.

    So I got tagged obiwan.

Sort of suits my personality in RL too.

Name of the best character I ever played in AD&D. An elven conjurer who loved the grease spell, was a pacifist, and killed an insanely large number of people. How many times have we had this thread?

Oh. Well I didn't know that either. The Beverly Hillbillies were well before my time. And I'm confident that most of my classmates who called me Jethro wouldn't have known either.

The original idea was to use the first two letters of my name ( 3 parts) but that didn't sound right, so I dropped the last two.

I've been thinking on changing it lately though, and to just use my real firstname.

Space - because I used to have a fascination with space, and my original internet pseudonym was 'spaceboy' but I wanted to change it and 'Space' was too common.

05 - 2005, the year I would graduate highschool had I not gotten my GED

us - United States, not capitalised because it looks better the way it is.

Im still thinking of something better to change it to. Maybe I'll use my real name in the same manner as many of you do, first name then last initial.

My poly name is just an abbreviation of my first and last name together, so pretty boring

As for my screenname, it's "The Last Conformist" compressed to fit in 15 characters. That, in turn, was a nick I came up with to express my disdain for the pathological need to be "different" common among my teenage peers, particularly as it expressed itself in subcultures with very high degrees of internal uniformity. I've now used it, or variations thereof, as my screenname in most 'Net contexts for years.

In some other places, I'm known as "Free(k)", which should require no explanation, and "Zadzhiff", a name of RPG derivation.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Mine is basically just an English translation of my real name.

My first name is Vegard, meaning something like "He who guards the home." So, I'm a guardian.

Well my screen name despite sounding similar has no relation to 'Azrael', though people tend to spell my screen name that way on these forums when referring to me. I don't really mind since I tend to know right away they're referring to me.

It's the strangest thing, since I actually came up with the name 'Azreal' for my alter ego before I even knew about 'Azrael'. I could probably have thought up a better name, but I've been using it since I was about thirteen, and well... old habits die hard.

But regardless of how it came up in my mind, I never actually intended it to mean death or anything death related.

It doesn't matter. I'll probably be changing it soon anyway.

A few years ago, I royally annoyed Drogue's best friend, not knowing she had a very viscious tongue. The name Whaleboy was promptly assigned to me, undoubtably because of my love for Moby Dick

I pieced it together w/ the help of my 2.5 y/o son, at the time. I wrestled in college and now coach the sport. My son couldn't say wrestling, but came out with "dojo" for wrestling. I used to think maybe he was a reincarnated Japanese national. I came up with "boy" all by myself.

That isn't why you changed it to Whaleboy, IIRC...
