The one that I'm losing in, of course, is the one where I had Javon Walker on the bench .

I lost this week Poly Fantasy football, but considering who I had available, I didn't do too bad.

I keep waiting for TB to show signs of life, but they are looking defeated out there.

You'd look defeated too if every major offensive weapon you had was unavailable due to stubbornness (McCardell), boneheadedness (Pittman - and although we get him back next week, NO WAY he'll be at 100% for at least a few weeks because of all the missed practice), or injury (Garner - latest diagnosis: Torn patella tendon, gone for the year; Galloway - last word: Gone until at least November; Jurevicius - last word: Injured reserve candidate).

This season is pretty much already lost; if Pittman can't provide some kind of spark and quickly, it's over.

It's kind of funny, since Gruden has come to Tampa, their offense has not been as good as Dungy's last few years there .

Even if they were healthy they would suck. Gruden is a horrible evaluator of talent. Hell, I think he's overrated as a coach as well.

Jags look like the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. Excellent D, crap offense. Maybe, though, the offense will kick it into a higher notch late in the year like that Ravens team did.

I just dropped Emit Smith for Pittman. He's Fresno State alumni. Hopefully he can do something. I need another good RB in the second half of the season.

Btw, that Miami-Pitt game: I saw some highlights while watching the ESPN game, and those must be the worst field conditions I've ever seen for a game!

Randy McMichael still had a good game even though I put him on the bench. He got one more fantasy point than the my second TE whom I put in.

More questionable play calling by Martz. The Rams were up by 3 with 40 seconds left. Martz calls a squib kick, presumably to protect from a runback. NO gets the ball on the 40. They easily complete two passes to get into field goal range, and put it into OT.

Damn. He has to go, but I can't see it happening in the near future.

News coming out of Chicago is that Rex Grossman is out for the remainder of the year with a torn ACL. Bears are done.

Further injury news: Rich Gannon has a broken vertebrae and is out for 6 weeks (at least). Though the Raiders looked good with Collins out there, so it won't hurt them that badly.
