Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL - Week 5

What's up in the Poly fantasy league? We had 3 guys who played people on a bye week, and a 4th who didn't have a defense in his lineup.

Pretty sad "participation" for Week 4. Wish I'd been playing one of those teams.

Instead, I have to sit home tonight and watch Jamal Lewis steal my game with Berz (after Kerry Collins, Torry Holt, and Santana Moss combined for all of 14 points). FIVE turnovers for Collins. Idiot.

Oh well. Whatever. (heavy sigh)

That is pretty sad for just week 4.
That is one of the major problems with head to head leagues... If some people quit early, the winner is sometimes totally based on the schedule vs actual skill and knowledge. People that get to play the quitters late get a real advantage.

That's why I like to play in leagues with people that I know, and who are proven veterans who will try their best to win no matter what. Usually you can count on a single person dropping out... but 4 guys not paying attention by week four.

I opted not to have a backup Defense... So sue me. I got to the computer at 2am Sunday Morning though to make sure all my bye guys were benched.

Argh!!! I claimed the NYJ defense from FA because they were playing Miami, and got me 22 points.

I forgot to set them to my defensive starter though and got stuff all.

That awesome KC defense managed to hold Jamal Lewis to 13.30 pts, allowing me to hold off Berzerker in what must be the closest game of the year.

Now we come to the week I have been dreading. In the Poly league and my money league, I have McNabb, Holmes and Rudi or Chad Johnson on the bye week. Time for my second string to step up!

I had no way of knowing what he would do after his father died. I think I was playing against him in a fantasy league as well . I might be this week as well. I'll have to check.
