From what I got (maybe Serb can expand on it), they want the release of Chechen fighters in Russian jails (think from the raid in Ingustetia in June) and the complete withdrawal of the Russian Army from Chechnya. So not too much then...

Their first leader Dudaev ened up as target for Russian guided missile which send him to Allah. Basaev now has only one leg, since he stepped on Russian mine while run with tail between his leg, because Russians were coming after him and were pretty close. Thier Arab friend, leader and brother in arms - Hattab was elimenated. Two ****s who planned explosions of appartment building in Moscow 1999 were killed in chechnya, the third was captured and faced the court. The last one is still hiding, but sooner or later they'll find him. Salman Raduev another legendary figure for terrorists (he commanded attack on Kizlyar, iirc where hospital with pregnent wemens was captured) was captured faced a court recieved a life sentance, but died in jail not so long ago . The last loud act of Russian counter-terrosrist forces, was extermination of another legendary leader of terrorists (don't remember his name) in Qatar (or Oman, not sure).
It's only what comes to mind right now, but the list is way bigger. Russians serch for terrorists and kill the bastards, I can assure you.
Ok, great to hear that progress is being made. Still, it seems new terrorists pop up at the same pace old ones are eliminated. (which again leads back to my original point that law and order needs to be restored in Chechnya to eliminate the breeding grounds for these terrorists).

Both Aslan Mashadov and Shamil Basayev have denied any involvement in the situation and condemned the attack. I don't know what the new president of Chechnya Alu Alkhanov has said.

            • During his meeting with Jordanian king Abdalla II, Putin said words of gratitude to leaders of countries and to UN Security Concil for solidarity with Russia and condemination of terrorists. King of Jordania also condemned this act and said that he as the father of third children understads condition of parents and loved ones of the hostages.

                Oh really?

Both of them should be hang on the same tree. They are responisible for numerous terrorist acts such as 2002 theater hostage situation, attack on Budenovsk, explosions of appartment buildings in Moscow 1999, and invasion of Dagestan 1999. Basaev personaly, PERSONALY lead the terrorists in Dagestan and Budenovsk. He is the international terrorist and his "brigades" are international terrorist groups not only from Russian point of view, but in accordance with UN and US Deportment of State as well. So, I don't trust a single word of those two and see no reason why anyone should.

                Link?

All news agencies around the world some hours ago were talking abot call of one of the terrorists to New York Times. He said that their group, whatever they call themselves is under Basaev's command.

                • And before you'll tell how they could be responsible for 1999 explosions in Moscow, considering that I've said that Russians captured/eliminated 3 out of 4 ****s who did it, I should explain- Russians found executors, in other words persons who installed the bombs and pull the triger. Those two are planned those attacks. They prepared whole operation.

Deportation was too radical movement. And again, if they were treaten fairly, perhaps they wouldn't have to support the Germans

Sometimes you really piss me of.
just a bit of reminder- your, YOUR own existance was possible only thanks to Soviets
Not quite. My grandma was deported to USSR and would have probably died if she didn't have luck

who saved your nation from complete extermination by nazis. Hundreds of thousands of Soviet troops died in Poland while fighting the nazis, who would otherwise exterminte Poles as Slavs and inferior humans.
Now you call those people the same evil as Hitler.
                    Read my post.
                    1) I called USSR evil, not its soldiers. Despite all the rapes, plunders, vandalism, I will not call them that
                    2) I called USSR LESS evil that III Reich, but still evil
Again, if Soviets haven't made a deal with Germans in 1939, they wouldn't have to fight against them later on perhaps
Of course, Soviets saved Poles from complete extermination - but it was them, who put them on that risk, and they themselves did a lot of harm too, bu deportations that resulted in mass deaths, by extermination of Polish officers and intelligence, and lby twice cutiing half of Poland for themselves and subdueing the rest
I don't judge USSR completely bad, after all it did destroy the Reich and it was more "generous" to Poland when it comes to its western borders than America or Britain

Don't worry, Polish army would have sucked in Iraq waaaaaay deeper than Americans do now.
Do you still use cavalry armed with Javelins to charge tanks?
You are now repeating III Reich's propaganda now. And anyway, didn't Soviets use cavalry in ww2 too?
Remember also that this army defeated Soviets earlier.
And now, it doesn't act all that bad in Iraq.

Never before in human history has the world been so civilized as it is today. Unforutunately the barbarians are still among us and there is only one way to protect yourself from savages before you can educate them if we wish to keep our world civilized.

                      • Heresson,
It was a WARTIME measure. Do you understand that wartime demands wartime measures? US deported American with Japanees root, just out of suspicion that they could harm US by cooperating with Japaneese. They were thrown to the desert and held beyond barbed wire. Nothing of that kind had happened with Chechens deported to Khazakstan. There weren't held in camps beyond barbed wire. They were allowed to work and live as local population, despite them aside Japaneese Americans actually, in fact, really supported the enemy. Can you explain why anyone should be nice with invaders and their supporters during war? Esp. to such enemies as nazis and their sympotyzers.

Anyhow I don't want to discuss evilness of the Soviet Union here. And btw, you didn't get my joke, Javelin is an anti-tank guided missile. As for defeated, sure. You just stolen Soviet tactics of massive use of mobile forces. It was a revolutionary tactics for 20's, but it was bad for 30's. Germans and Soviets developed their doctrines further, unfortunately for you- you didn't and just relied on old Soviet tactics.

                          • Didn't you know? It was all a brilliant plan by the great iron man himself to lure the german forces into russia and make them suffer the hell of the russian winter!

                            • Heresson, for you knowledge, Soviets won both Winter war and WW2, though experince drawn from Winter war helped them to defeat nazis.

                              • The point was that Soviets weren't doing better job than Poland against Hitler. The only thing that saved USSR was its size
