I'm not sure it's thier only demand. They act like complete crazy ****s. First they demand doctor who leads a red-cross like organization for negotiations and when he aproaches the building, they start to shoot. Crazy unpredicatable f***ers.

I'm afraid this case would have very bad concequences. Perhaps terrorists want a scenario when everyone would start to avenge children and start to attack inocent, civilian people of Caucasus orgin everywhere across the Russia. Human's rage is unpredictable.

From my understanding, the rebel bases are high in the mountains as the al Qaida bases were in Afghanistan. We used some very big bombs against those bases, but they were not enough. OBL managed to escape.

Clearly if the rebels do not have bases, but intermix in Chechen cities, bombs of any variety would not be advisable unless they were of the kind that can hit a targeted fly from 15,000 feet.

Ah, those bases. I thought you misspoke and meant the school.

Still, they aren't going to be all that much more afraid of nukes than of lots of normal bombs. It's not like the threat of nuking a city.

I realize that during second Chechen war many civilans died, but I hate to remind you DD, that it was your country who invaded foriegn country which never done any harm to US and never threaten/have any possibilities to fulfill their threat. The 1999 invasion in Dagestan was a limit brake. We had right to defend ourselves, GODDAMNIT. Now you, who invaded forign country to "bring them freedom", without a single provocation from thier side, lecturing us about human rights? Just how many human rights you have violated in Iraq? How many civilians you have killed there? Wasn't in you DD, who posted a pic of US troops seating on huge fuel air bomb proposed for Iraqis?
And to your knowledege, such boms doesn't designed for urban warfare. They designed for destruction of deep cave-like hideouts. Such boms do not used against cities, simply because it's inefficient, because the same destruction could be achieved with common bombs.
