Why does it matter? How does it even tangently tie in with the plight of these poor kids? Since you don't seem to have exceeded your thread limit yet why not make another thread promoting your opinion of relative strength of various militaries?

It's one thing to threadjack someones bored troll but this thread deals with something that is arguably the worst sort of atrocity that can be commited and it still hangs in the balance right at this moment.

I don't know why you have this impression, but Russians systematecally hunt for terrorist's leaders and kill those bastards. Their first leader Dudaev ened up as target for Russian guided missile which send him to directly to Allah. Basaev now has only one leg, since he stepped on Russian mine while was running with tail between his legs, because Russians were coming after him and were pretty close. Thier Arab friend, leader and brother in arms - Hattab was elimenated. Two ****s who planned explosions of appartment buildings in Moscow 1999 were killed in Chechnya, the third was captured and faced the court. The last one is still hiding, but sooner or later they'll find him. Salman Raduev another legendary figure for terrorists (he commanded attack on Kizlyar, iirc where hospital with pregnent woman has been captured) was also captured, faced a court and recieved a life sentance, but died in jail not so long ago . The last loud act of Russian counter-terrosrist forces, was extermination of another legendary leader of terrorists - Zelimhan Yandarbiev in Qatar.
It's only what comes to mind right now, but the list is way bigger. Russians search for terrorists and kill the bastards, I can assure you.

When the hell you'll understand that there were WAR, they were supporting the enemy. And it was a war measure to deport them. This measure had a 100% rate effect- there were no more support for nazi. Had they didn't support nazis, it would never happen.

USSR wasn't a "motherland" to Chechenians, to Ukrainians, to Lithuanians or Latvians. It was occupying their motherlands. That's why many of them supported
Germany. It's sad, and some of the mentioned did a lot of harm to Polish people, and generally fought on the wrong side, but Soviet side wasn't any better. The fight between USSR and III Reich wasn't a fight between the good and the evil, it was a fight between less wrong and more wrong.

It wasn't the first time. Poland and Russia has special relationships. Both did that kind of stuff (backstab) to each other before, at every opportunity. Does it somehow changes the fact that without Soviets there would be no Poles today and that thousands of Soviet soldiers died fighting nazis in Poland?

Winston is correct. If I was Chechen people, I'd be pretty much fixing up the old cinemaphotographer and calling all news station to make a condemning statement.
