They're not voting for him. They're voting for the Party. Otherwise, you'd have to believe people would vote for Kerry. I can't believe someone would vote FOR Kerry.

Nah, it'll be insured by the government. Why do you think so many people have been able to buy homes, low interest rates or not. These lending institutions wouldn't be so keen w/ out the fed to bail them out. Or, should I say us, or the Communist Chinese.

BS, the amount it'll take to insure all those medical plans will be astronomical... at least as much Clinton's socialized health care. It'd never happen. We'd be better off insuring them ourselves if we were going to back all the MEWAs.

                • I can't believe Bushes domestic agenda. It is so unworkable that I'm just shocked. I don't believe that people will fall for it.

Bush was a libertarian before the speech? Several liberals on TV also said it was impressive, are they no longer liberals? I'm not a partisan, if someone makes a great speech, saying so is not a sin.

Yup, I heard alot about this thing called "freedom" and how we are exporters of it but we aren't anywhere close to free ourselves. I guess what Bush means by freedom is the ability of other people to hang onto the freedoms they cherish once it is put up to a vote.

Actually I believe he will attempt this and then the Republicans can say, look we expanded people with medical insurance.. or something.

                            • I had a problem with equating ideas of bringing liberty with images from Abu G. I could let that pass if his adminstration actually rooted out the cause of the problem, and didn't just crucify some enlisted riff raff.

I also think it's sort of funny to be standing up for rights for the unborn that would involve redefinition (abortion) while denying rights for the already born based on tradition (gay marriage).

                              It's a funny world.

I think he is genuine. I don't think he really understands everything that is going on around him.

                              • notyoueither, exacto. I think a reporter to one of our local channels will get some heat. He was pretty opinionated about Bush's speech.. I laughed my ass off 'you'll get fired! You'll get fired!'.. it lasted for few minutes when they asked 'so what did he talk about?' 'domestic issues. He said that his current policies about health care, taxes etc are good, and he will continue doing those good things and raise the economy. He made it sound like it's actually working good now'. About the last sentence the host of the show went red . Not that he would agree or disagree, but because reporters are nto supposed to SAY that. They can think, but that's no reporting. He'll get fired.

He also said 'and he was all about attackign Kerry. He said he is a senator for Massachussets.. that would be the same as our president would say about his opponent 'a representor from Kainuu'.. highly disrespectful'. while true, his ass is FIRED!

And I won't be sad for him either. He is not supposed to say his opinions.
