    So it would certainly be less than unheard of to get three such injuries, and hence 3 pruple hearts in under a year.
    Three paper cuts = Three purple hearts?

    Even fishier.

          I'm a white, middle aged, college educated, fairly well off, life long Republican, and I too am voting for Kerry.

          I've been a Republican all my political life. I've been President of my university's College Republicans. My parents are upper middle class and I'm in law school. I'm voting for Kerry.

            Wow, Diss how often do you change your mind?
            I guess often

            I don't really like Bush. I originally liked Kerry because he was a navy guy. But the more I learn about him, the less I like. :shrug:

                    Seriously, democracy will fail if this keeps up.

                    I think there should be 3 or more parties with equal power, equal chance at winning.

                    Republicans = 25%
                    Democrats = 25%
                    Independents = 25%
                    Greens = 25%

                    somethin like that

                    So we'd have more choices of candidates, rather than be stuck with two piss-poor candidates.

                      ...and you would enforce this equality how?
                      No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

                          Heck, I could go for Truman.

                          Truman for '08!

                            I have actually put a lot of thought into your question and I honestly just don't know. Is there a democrat out there that is for less taxes, less spending, strong national defense, creating economic opportunity, real educational reform, strong alliances with our allies, and yet willing to take unilateral action if needed...Is there one who will surround themselves with strong people of conviction with strong moral fortitude? I don't know, but I would like to.

                                That's largely due to Southern democrats I would guess, which is nothing new...

                                Oh and I voted Nader in '00 and will vote Kerry this time around (not that I much like the man, definately nothing more than an anti-Bush vote). There's a lot people in my situation as well.
