I think there should be 3 or more parties with equal power, equal chance at winning.

I have actually put a lot of thought into your question and I honestly just don't know. Is there a democrat out there that is for less taxes, less spending, strong national defense, creating economic opportunity, real educational reform, strong alliances with our allies, and yet willing to take unilateral action if needed...Is there one who will surround themselves with strong people of conviction with strong moral fortitude? That's largely due to Southern democrats I would guess, which is nothing new...

Oh and I voted Nader in '00 and will vote Kerry this time around (not that I much like the man, definately nothing more than an anti-Bush vote). There's a lot people in my situation as well.
