A couple of my coworkers saw it, and their reaction was pretty much what I had guessed my assessment will be: If you're not a believer, you're essentially just watching 2 hours of some guy being horribly tortured and put to death. Since I have a low gore tolerance, I think I'll save it for Netflix.

I guess you have a point. It's hard to enjoy any movie if you can't suspend your disbelief enough to buy even the most basic premise of a film.

Actually, you often have to, as there is seldom a single, agreed upon view when it comes to history. And let's not even get into the blatant falsehoods that are added to many "historical" movies for effect.

I suppose you guys didn't like Braveheart because a good chunk of it was completely made up...
