Mr. Nice Guy: It's not a mood... its a way of life

C0ckney: well I've never cheated on a GF either... so

btw, how is cheating on a SO worthy of a commandment? I mean... shouldnt' THOU SHALL NOT TORTURE PEOPLE be more important?

How come physical violence isn't in the commandments? but adultery is? WTFZ?

and where's the commandment about poisoning the earth? Surely god knew that humans would have the technology to poison the earth...
To us, it is the BEAST.

it's not about cheating sava, it's about sleeping with someone outside of marriage, and i'm guessing most of us are guilty of that one

Oh, and I'm extremely glad to have spat on the first two commandments. It should be mandatory to do so

It is also about lusting for someone other than your wife, regardless if you do them or not

gee... I guess every human being (probably over 100 billion) who exist before marriage became a popular custom are burning in hELL!!

why does god care about human sexuality anyways? I mean, isn't our spiritual existence seperate from out physical existence in this world? Sex is basically a biological means of getting us to reproduce. The expression of love is what is supposed to be between two souls... but yet, god isn't concerned about that love. He only cares about where I put my winky?? give me a break...

that commandment alone should be proof enough that it's all bull****...

And anyone who has felt hatred towards anyone doesn't get #6 either.
                    HAVE A DAY.
<--- Quote by Former U.S. President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt
"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Many, including Sava, may say that these commandments are ridiculous and that's it's inhuman to follow them, but I don't think God expects every Christian to follow them perfectly, especially if you are new to the faith. He does however, expect every Christian to mature in the faith and improve over time.

Take me for example. When I was new to the faith I struggled with all but the first commandment. But I've been a Christian for nearly 6 1/2 years, and today I only struggle with two of them, but I won't say which two. It's an "art" I've been perfecting for a long time now.

How many of these commandments did the Biblical "God" keep?

so Mr. Nice Guy... could Hitler be in heaven if he accpeted Jesus right before he died?

sounds like a cop out clause... or a technicality.

I also find the idea that faith is paramount to be offensive... sorry, but if I was a god and people didn't believe in me, I'd at least stress the idea that KILLING AND STEALING were more important than some insignificant belief in me.
To us, it is the BEAST.

So, looks like I kept 5 out of ten. I get #1 on a technicality, since it's rather difficult to put one god before another when one believes in none. #2 was also technically kept, as I've never made any graven image for worship. I get #6 and #7 easily, as I've never killed anyone and adultery isn't really in the cards (but just to be sure, I've never cheated, either). And I give myself #8, although I suppose someone could quibble that any time spent at work not actually working is "stealing." And I say, screw those people!
