I live in the 8th worst city in America for car crashes, so excuse me if I have a more life-preserving perpective on this than you.
There might be fewer people in Iowa but at least we don't have a horrendous murder rate, or breath high levels of smog. Besides, right now, I live in Illinois.

As two other guys mentioned after this post of yours, you mne as well pull down stop signs -- they distract the driver.

Pull down all those trees off sides of the road -- they distract the driver.

The point is, if you cannot drive without adapting to such trivial distractions, then you should NOT be driving at all, period.

Nice troll. Since these people apparently speak for all atheists, I assume Phelps speaks for Christians? (Catholics don't count, because in Phelpsies view we're probably a bunch of ***-enablers at least.)

I've seen a few of these memorials go a bit overboard, but in some places, they're a good reminder. There's a state highway in northern California that's famous for being a lot more treacherous than it looks, and people driving (and finding out the hard way) accordingly. Since the crosses and markers there are all standard, I assume Caltrans put them up, and those little clusters on different curves do a lot more for you than the little yellow speed limit signs

Anyway, there's always a few people to get bent out of shape about not much at all, so why sweat it?

And Chegitz, don't try to tell me that these extreme, insensitive atheists are concerned about safety -- their interest is to attack religious people, plain and simple.

Good thing no religious person would ever attack an athiest otherwise that statement could be considered highly ironic.

If you are a Christian, imagine it the other way round - living as a Christian in an Athiest world. People would laugh at you for giving Xmas presents etc...
Hey Jamski, you want to troll a Christian, I don't mind being the target. It's rough trying to quit smoking.

I have been both. You say most Christians have not been an athiest, but you forget the ones who have just as you forget those atheists who have never experienced Christianity.

Secondly, how do you think I feel on these boards, being a Christian in an atheist world? People laugh at me for what I believe, and yet I still understand because I know where they are coming from.

I am surprised that you would consider this world Christian, I would consider it so far in many ways from being Christian as to be the complete opposite.

Now, what is so Christian about giving Christmas presents to those who love you? "Do not even the pagans do that?"

And how do you know this? Because the atheists quoted were lying when they said it was about highway safety?

Jackass religious people always think it's about their belief in imaginary friends.

And I should hope stop signs distract the driver, dumbass. Otherwise they'd blow through the intersection. Lousy troll.
