Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
But if a cross on the side of the road is enough to make an atheist motorist drive like crap than what happens when they pass a church, or turn on the radio, or answer their cell phone, or see a billboard!!!
It's a poor excuse, that's all.
Personally, I am tired of people complaining about things they find "offensive".

It doesn't sound like you are afraid of cars. It sounds like you find road signs such a terrible distraction that you are unable to do pay attention to the road after seeing them.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

If only I was. Your own hysterical ranting on this subjet point to your poor ability to filter out distraction on the road.

Why is it conservatives never get the difference between wanting to be protected from yourself and wanting to be protected from someone else.
As I have made abundently clear, I am afraid of others, who take their eyes off the road and cause accidents. I have a right not to be squished by these people. They don't have a right to squish me. Anything which makes it easier for them to be distracted, and thus run into me, is therefore, bad.

These crosses are NOT a significant hazard, or at least are not the most significant hazards. There are MANY things which are MUCH more hazardous that can be done away with just as easily. Thus, the real point of this is to target these religious symbols specifically.

Because it is a stupid arguement to make. You honestly can not tell me with a straight face billboards and what not pose a signifigant hazard to traffic.
PS If you can, you have more self-control than I do because I couldn't get through it without laughing.

It's under the 1st Amendement, the part about not being able to establish religions, which means no religious displays can be put up on public property.
Crosses have been specifically forbidden by every court ruling for the past 30+ years.
This is silly. The idiocy is not paid for with public funds and is generally unknown to formal authorities. The only laws that could reasonably be applied to this are those dealing with littering.
Yes, that opens the can of worms that could lead to people smuggling in scenes of baby jesus and the sheep with gigantic you-know-whats onto government lawns around the time of the Winter Solstice, but I frankly find that unlikely.
What if someone went to the roadside marker of a deceased individual and put something hateful? Should that be removed?
If you agree to the removal of that, than why not the removal of the positive momentos. Who decides what is acceptable and what isn't?
From a strictly literal interpretation, I think the Atheists are correct.
