    What exactly is a "gay-friedly"

    This is a word I'm seeing quite often in France now, on every gay outlet, it says it is for "Gays" and "Gay-friendly" people (this was the original French version). Since the word is a direct English word, I guess it is a trend that has started in the States.

    However, I don't quite see what a "gay-friendly" person is. Someone who doesn't wish all gays to burn in hell ? Someone who isn't gay but who's interested in gay culture ? Someone who indulges in homosexual sex in only one way rather than the full menu ?

    I guess it's like those job ads "we encourage women and minorities to apply". It doesn't necessarily mean anything.

      Gay-friendly just means they don't have a problem with your sexuality.

        I've never heard the term used in that way before, but I'm guessing it means this.

                      Well, if you're my friend, then you're gay friendly!

                      But on a serious note, "Gay Friendly" means anyone who is not bothered by the gay culture and actually supports its diversity.

                            Well Asher, gay culture is well, far reaching and has different meanings to different people...

                            For example: Perform a search on Google.com using using the keywords gay and cuture (+gay +culture), and you will receive 4,630,000 hits on the subject...so gay culture can and does have different meanings to different people. I hope this helps - yes, I know, clear as mud!
