Give Kidd Tim Duncan this year and then we'll ask that question again
If Kidd is the 2nd best NBA Player, according to you, then he wouldn't need Duncan.
To us, it is the BEAST.

The best basketball team assembled were the Bulls with Rodman, Pippen, and Jordan.

That's not true. Some of the old Laker teams were far more star-studded. So were the '86 76ers.

With Shaq, Kobe, Mailman and The Glove, are these Lakers the most star-studded team in NBA history?

If Karl Malone is the 2nd best NBA Player during the 90s, then he wouldn't need Michael Jordan

Btw, if McGrady is the 2nd best NBA Player, than you'd think his team would go farther than they did?

So why are you basing individual worth on the basis of how good a team is .

And the best teamplayer there is, is Jason Kidd .

yeah what a teamplayer... demanding the coach who took them to two NBA Finals should be fired... Kidd is just another primadonna bum...

I didn't forget about Griese, but his confidence has to be shot. Sure you can win with defense, but remember Tampa ONLY won a championship when it was able to find a passing game.
Correction, Imran: Tampa won and dominated games most of the time whenever it found a *running* game, not a passing game. If there's one thing Chucky is absolutely right about, it's that a team must run the ball well to have a functional offense. Oakland tried to win totally through the air in the Super Bowl and paid for it, big time. (Well, Callahan being dim enough not to change Gannon's audible codes helped, too.)

And I'm glad to finally see my Bucs get the respect they've deserved for years now. Even from you, Imran.

And on Kidd, he made the right call. With a healthy Mourning, the Nets have the leg up on the Pistons again and they should be able to consistently be a presence for the Finals for the next few years. Neither he nor his wife would have been happy in San Antonio, because there are too many good teams to compete with and Kidd would always have been second banana to Duncan.

Time to pump some testosterone into this little tea party :

                          Leafs sign Marchment
                          WebPosted Fri Jul 11 15:21:02 2003
CBC SPORTS ONLINE - The Toronto Maple Leafs have waded into the free-agent pool and come out with hard-hitting veteran defenceman Bryan Marchment.

The Leafs inked the unrestricted free agent to a one-year deal worth $2 million US.

"Since I got the phone call I've had butterflies in my stomach," Marchment said on a Friday conference call. "Growing up as young kid watching the Leafs I always dreamed of making the NHL.

"I've enjoyed everywhere I've played in the NHL but I'm real excited to put on a Leafs jersey."

The 34-year-old defenceman is expected to add a physical presence on the Toronto blue-line, something the club was looking for with the possible retirement of Robert Svehla and the loss of Glen Wesley.

Wesley signed a one-year, $2.75-million deal with the Carolina Hurricanes earlier this week.

Marchment had two goals, 12 assists and 141 penalty minutes with the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche last season.

He has 2,126 penalty minutes in 814 career games during stints with the Winnipeg Jets, Chicago Blackhawks, Hartford Whalers, Tampa Bay Lightning, the Avalanche and the Sharks.

                          with files from Canadian Press
                          ************************************

Yet another reason to hate the Leafs...

They just make it too easy sometimes.

Ah, Sava... taking rumors as truth without verification, but so quick to blame others for doing the same .

Everyone, on every side denied this happened. Seeing as it was the NY Post that 'broke' this story, it was obvious that it was just another false tabloid story by this garbage newspaper.

I wonder why you believe things from the NY Post, yet believe nothing from Fox News .

Tampa won and dominated games most of the time whenever it found a *running* game, not a passing game.

                            2002 ranks:

                            Passing Yards: 16th
                            Passing TDs: 14th

                            Rushing Yards: 27th
                            Rushing Yards per attempt: 28th
                            Rushing TDs: 31st

Seeing how their running game was so woeful, your statement doesn't seem to make any sense.
