    Slow-dawg:

San Diego vs Miami in AFC playoff final.

Miami ain't going no where if it can't find a passing game. Funny that we are complaining about their passing game these days .

It'll be Oakland v Pittsburgh (or NY Jets).

    Who in the NFC?
Maybe, Green Bay and Atlanta ?

I'm not sure Green Bay has it in them any more. They have Farve, and he'll be amazing for them... but that's it.

I think (total guess, btw) Tampa v. St. Louis (or Philadelphia)

Also remember they took San Antonio to SIX games with Kenyon Martin playing horrible basketball. I mean do they have to take them to 7 to be considered 'competitive'? Please.

The West just got a whole lot better. Even with Zo, the Nets don't have a snowball's chance in hell of hanging with the Super Lakers.

        Malone joins Lakers

The Glove, the Mailman, the Rapist and Big Aristotle all on the same team? Can they be stopped? Are they the best team ever assembled? What do you guys think?
Having grown up in Utah, I know Malone the player, and he is not the same player he was a few years ago, if he went to any other team he would have averaged some where in the mid to upper teens. Now? He'll be lucky to average 10.

Plus, I think He will get injured.

        ACK!

Although I may be a little biased, I think Miami is going to win it all.

Who knows, maybe the Super Lakers won't even get to the Finals. It wasn't like anyone expected the Lakers to do what they did last year. All it takes is a Shaq injury, and they are in trouble.

NJ with a healthy Zo can be competitive with San Antonio, Dallas, Sacramento. We'll have to see how the Lakers gel.

All though I may be a little biased, I think Miami is going to win it all.

With Wannstedt and Fiedler? Naw... more because of Wannstedt than Fielder though .

I agree that Malone isn't the player he was in his prime, but he doesn't have to be on this Lakers squad. He's supposed to be a complement to Shaq, a player that can score points and make other teams pay if they decide to double Shaq. He's also meant to provide a scoring threat while Shaq is resting. Malone isn't nearly the player he used to be, but he can still handle this assignment. It'll be nice to see him get his ring.

NY Jets sure as HELL aren't.

No, they'll win with one of the best defenses in the league. And don't forget about Griese. I hate the man, but he could be the QB they've been looking for (if he stays away from the booze, that is).

Stop breathing that Texas oil pollution, Sloww .

The hottest team the last two months of the NFL last year was the Jets. Pennington was on FIRE! If he can continue that gun slinging they'll go very deep in the playoffs. Last year they went to the 2nd round to lose to Oakland.

Miami is favored this year. I'm not sure why. I like my Rams this year, especially if we can hold on to Orlando Pace. We will have a hellova offensive line. Could be the best offense ever.

I almost said Oakland, but their old wheels have to fall off sometime.

And Miami does have one good defense.
They made it better in the off-season.

San Diego added David Boston. That will help.

I didn't forget about Griese, but his confidence has to be shot. Sure you can win with defense, but remember Tampa ONLY won a championship when it was able to find a passing game.

The forward pass is more important now than it has been for a long time .

If he's not a cancer in the locker room . I still am kinda pissed at them for releasing Seau. You don't treat a man like that... so that's why I'm not putting them up .

What about the Ravens? Fiedler and Griese are both light years better than Trent Dilfer.

Are you claiming that the Dolphins D will be as good as the Ravens in 2000?

And actually... I'd take Dilfer over both of them. Look at what he did in Seattle before he got hurt last year.
