Both played on HORRIBLE Tampa offenses. Both were considered bad QBs because of the teams they played on.

Bull****. The Tampa offense that Dilfer played on was one of the best rushing offenses in the league. If the offense was considered bad (which it really wasn't), it was because of Dilfer's horrible play. The man sucks, plain and simple.

      What?!

Rushing Yards Rank - Tampa Offense (Dungy & Dilfer Years):

      1999: 15th (4th in attempts)
      1998: 4th (3rd in attempts)
      1997: 11th (8th in attempts)
      1996: 22th (12th in attempts)

      Rushing Yards Per Attempt

      1999: 22nd
      1998: 10th
      1997: 13th
      1996: 28th

How the Hell THAT becomes one of the best rushing offenses in the league is beyond me. Your recollections are ****. In 1998 they were great, but the rest of the time crap.

No rushing and a lot of attempts indicates the offensive line was crap, and Dilfer wasn't allowed to throw the ball... which seems obvious because Brad Johnson, after getting a new coach, suddenly seems reborn.

The man sucks, plain and simple.

Fine, I'll take him on my team . You can have Fiedler.

About basketball, Jason Kidd and Alanzo Mourning have just joined the NJ Nets.
uhmmm Jason Kidd was already with the Nets...

The Glove, the Mailman, the Rapist and Big Aristotle all on the same team? Can they be stopped? Are they the best team ever assembled? What do you guys think?
Don't get your hopes up Drake... basketball is not a sport where you can stack 4 primadonnas on a team and hope for success. The best basketball team assembled were the Bulls with Rodman, Pippen, and Jordan. That Lakers team might have success, but they won't dominate. Those 4 guys (Kobe, Shaq, Payt, and Malone) each need the ball to succeed. Good basketball teams are created around 1 or 2 superstars with a strong bench and star role players. That Laker team is not a recipe for success.

          Shaq... too fat...
Kobe... can't keep it in his pants... also is Jordan without the defense
Payton... might trash talk a team into submission...
Malone... no D... needs the ball... it will get crowded at the net with both Shaq and Karl there...

          San Antonio is still better.

Admit it, you'd take him .

Hell, if I was Parcells, I'd take him too. Good steady QB to teach the young-uns. Then you'd have two Fresno State QBs starting in Texas .

Not the way they were playing it here . It's like New Jersey stole him from San Antonio .

uhmmm yeah... except there was a guy named Tony Parker who is better than Kidd, IMO...

Parcells rocks. Even if they lose the next 3 years, he rocks.

What are you on about now?

Yeah, I know about Tony Parker, but he would have most like moved to 2 if Kidd went to SA.

Why would SA get rid of someone better (Parker) just to get the wife-beating, ugly-kid bearing Jason Kidd?

Um.. because Kidd is the better player .

He's only the second most valuable player in the league after Duncan. Quick exercise... check to see NJ's record the year BEFORE Kidd came to the Nets... and their record the years Kidd was here.

So umm.. I think Roddick and Agassi will do well in the upcoming US Open. Hardcourt suits Hewitt's play style well so he should have a decent chance too.

depends on who you talk to... Parker is younger... IMO, is better, but even if you believe he's not as good as Kidd, he definitely has a higher ceiling. Plus, I don't think Kidd's ego would be good for SA.

nah, I'd choose McGrady and Garnett as MVP before Kidd. Kidd helped NJ, there's no doubt, but he's not the only player contributing to NJ's success.

Don't get me wrong, Kidd is an All-Star and an excellent point guard (a valuable commodity in this league) but for my money... I'd take Parker. And apparantly... so would SA. btw... between Parker and Kidd, who's won more titles? yeah I thought so...

No, they were forced with the choice . SA offered ALL they could to get Kidd. He turned them down.

Give Kidd Tim Duncan this year and then we'll ask that question again .
