The one time I ate cheese in the US it was on a McD's Cheeseburger. It was piss-coloured. I didn't try cheese again until I left the continent.

Certainly not all American cheese can be that bad, but I think I'll stick to Kiwi cheeses. You don't export dairy as your main industry and not learn how to do good cheese.

American cheese sucks. Anyone who has eaten good cheese (the French apolytoners would know) knows that.
Same thing with american bread. Sorry, but thats just how it is. I know a lot of you are used to eating it, but that doesnt mean its any good (compared to real bread).
I like a good burger though (but no McDonalds, Burger King crap). A real one, grilled with semi-decent bread. I guess american cheese is good for burgers...Comment

American cheese is a real cheese. The Kraft permutation--presliced and individually wrapped--is a mutation of genuine American cheese, not a good example. Most commercial brands like that have more oil than milk.
Real American cheese is quite good in some instances, such as grilled cheese and tomato (since it melts so well). However, I prefer cheddar by a large margin.Tutto nel mondo è burlaComment
