In OUR society I have finally reached the point where I see no re ason to be "good".

Now I have to ask, just because others are bad, does that mean that what is wrong becomes right? Not at all. Your statement confirms this.

God will not judge us by the standards of the world, but by his standards. So clearly, if God exists, there is a definite purpose for good beyond being its own reward.

being "bad" gets you places, while being "good" gets you used.

By whom? By other people? If you are bad, people will use this as well. The world does not care about morality, it will take what it can use.

Have you ever read Job? God will test the faithful, though he will not test us beyond what we can bear. You are being tested Vesayen.

I can see two responses, one, you can adopt the ways of the world, or two, you can follow what you believe is right. The second path may not lead to immediate blessings, but will you not be able to sleep at night?

I'll preface this by saying I was raised Jewish, but am almost 99% sure God dosent exist......
