I am a concript too, and I would surely not be a whiner if my company was to march towards Stockholm.

I guess I would have taken some bullets in Jamtland or Härjedalen first, but that would be nothing to whine about.
    All for the cause!

No foreign army has been in Stockholm since 1521, I remind you. But the parade street in Oslo is named after a Swedish king...

      Good night.

        Service: US Navy

        Pay-Grade: E-4 Fire Controlman.

        1989-1994

Stationed on the USS Elliot in San Diego. Took the nuke test like Dissident did and passed it twice, but I didn't want to be a "snipe".

Most of my interesting stories are the same as the others drinking and whatnot.

There was one time in 1991 when we were on patrol in the Persian Gulf when we went to General Quarters(Battle Stations) over what turned out to be a couple of Iranian fishing boats..

        ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

          Yeah, that's point. :

But I live in Bergen... So I'm not in their league anyway.

It's quite ironic actually... On one of the military exercises I was on in Brigade South, there was this "Sweden invading Norway" scenario. Those crazy generals!
          Good night.

I knew a guy who jumped off the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. That's quite a fall.

when I was in security we had a guy jump off the gangplank to the quaterdeck with handcuffs behind his back. We're not sure how he managed to swim and survive. Nobody knew where he went. Eventually the shore patrol of norfolk naval station found him holding onto a pier support.

again, I'm not much of a story teller. So I can't make it sound really cool or anything.

Are you serious about this or sarcastic?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I am currently an AE3. I am a crewman, aboard H53Es, with combat support and troop movement my primary jobs. Spent 4 and a half months in the Gulf helping kick Saddams ass, including insertioons and anti terrorism security.

(You have know idea how fast a speedboat will turn around when a 100 foot long helicopter wth a rotor downwash that rivals that of a hurriacnae and three .50 caliber machine guns hovers 50 feet over the water in front of them.)

Anyway, I am going to be attending Naval Science Institute this fall and become an Officer Candidate, then go to ROTC for three years, and get commisioned and go to flight school December 2006.

And, I am going to be a history major, so you guys are going to pay for me to relax at college for the next three years, compared to my last year.
But I kick that ball, and I pray it goes straight,
If it does, then Coach says, "Good job number eight."
He doesn't even no my name is Andre Kristacovitchlalinski, Jr.

                        Ohoy mates.

                        Don't fall in the water!
I'm a landlubber, so I'd rather prefer frozen water melting in a waterskin on my belly, appr. 5000ft. above the ocean, with skis, backpack full of biscuits and booze, and a tent...

If things go well, I will leave IDF a leutenant (O-2), or a captain (O-3) (i don't remember exactly).
. I assume I will like my job so I may stay a while more and try to climb up to O-5, maybe just to piss GP

I don't have any stories yet, and I won't tell you any when I get back, as they are all going to be classified.

                              Seaman E-3
                              US Navy 2/13/1962 to 3/26/1965
Shore Duty 1 year San Diego Training Center, Mess Cook for 5 months and then Security Div. 9 months.
USS Navarro APA-215 Boat Group Div. Last 99 days in Supply, ran the Soda Fountain.
Had an a$$hold PO 2 drunk as my LPO in Boat Group. We did not get along. As my old man was a drunk, I hated drunks.
Did a West Pac from 9/63 to 5/64. Been to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, PI, and Hong Kong. Pull into the PI on the 23 Nov. 1963. For us the day Kennedy was killed. Christmas Day in Korea, and New Year eve in Hong Kong, but had the duty. We took some soldiers from the DMZ in Korea to Hong Kong for RR. One soldier and I when over together and he did not have any money for girls, so I gave him a few dollars and he got the clap. Back at the ship, every one laugh that a sailor paid for his clap.

Not a ship. Navy 53s are shore based, although we did deploy to the Boxer, Bataan and Bonhomme Richard for a few days in the early part of the war. Mainly, Bahrain and Kuwait, with some in Fujairah, UAE
