      I live in a new (less than 3 years old when we bought) 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with appx. 1,400 sq. ft of space. Cost in 1998: $92,000.

            So, mid west/ mid south Canada/US prices seem similar.

            What is a median income like in Tennessee ? In winnipeg its about $45,000 cnd

                Median income in TN is appx. $36,000
                Median detached housing costs $93,000 (we wuz robbed! )

                Median income in Knox County is appx: $37,500
                Median detached housing costs $98,500 (no we weren't! )

                In the US as a whol median household income is $42,000
                Median detached housing costs $119,600

                          A medium house in Napa, Calif., goes for around $500.000.
                          I have a 4 beds, 2 baths, 1291 sq. ft. 35 years old and it would sell somewhere between 400. to 500.000. Some new homes were builded four blocks away 1 1/2 years ago and when for 500. then and today are 600 to 700.000.

                              Median value of a house in Napa County: $251,000. Maybe you oughtta move next door to Lake County, where the median house price is just $120,000+-
