One thing I find strange is when the sentinals attack the hovercraft. They stay just out of range of the EMP field which would destroy them, and instead throw a bomb at the hovercraft. The strange thing is, the "bomb" is a mini-sentinal, an electronic device that can fly on its own guidance, actively seek its targets etc. Why couldn't the EMP field affect them?

They only have one shot, IIRC, so after taking out the first bomblet, whats to stop the squidleys from throwing another or manually tearing the ship appart?

My guess is that guns wouldn't be effective enough against the AI, or that the AI would adapt, or that Zion doesn't have the manufacturing capability to produce guns and ammunition. Remember, all those ships looked very old.

problem with the theory that Zion doesnt have the capacity is all those batteries of defensive turrets around the access point of Zion and those Mech warrior looking things that have guns on them.

So they'd rather expend resources on defense than on outfitting the ships.

Wait... the ships were recalled for defense... and apparently they were greatly desired for that. If all they have is EMPs, why would they want them so much?

hmm... well, they were talking about counter attacking the sentinals at choke points, one of which is where a disasterous battle took place. I suppose, if you can set an EMP off unexpectedly at a choke point, you could potnetially wipe out a bazillion sentinals

You're not following.

Zero is saying that after walking through the door (after talking to the Architect), Neo was in a different Matrix. In this new Matrix we only saw a short stretch where Neo and his crew are surrounded by Sentinels and abandon ship to avoid a bomb. Neo then disables the Sentinels after realizing that he could "feel" them.

The problem with this interpretation is that it means that they (the Architect, AI) either simultaneously put Morpheus and Trinity into the new Matrix as well, or were somehow able to program duplicates of them. Both of these options are highly unlikely, IMHO.

I just saw it for the second time tonight, and am really getting some good ideas on where some of this is going...I think the Merovingian has a HUGE role, and I think that the two main things to remember are causality and predestination/everyone has a purpose. Think along those lines and some of it might make more sense.
