Would those who kill themselves also go to the same place as mass-murderers?

To me these seem quite different from each other.

Suicide = violence against the self

Murderers and suicides were together in the 7th level, which was itself in 3 parts: The boiling river of blood for the violent against others, the wood of suicides for those violent against themselves, and the burning sands for those violent against nature.

I'm not sure where you see the dry humour.

I certainly did not expect to learn that Dante classified suicide with murderers.
