hahaha, what you said was so funny!

    but your point wasn't!

**** you firaxis! We don't like being screwed around! and we don't care if you take longer to make a game, just as long as its good! CIV3 SHOULD OF HAD MULTIPLAYER, AND ALL THE BUG FIXES, AND BETTER MODERN AGE, AND A FUTURE AGE!

Sorry to hear you're disappointed Zulu. However, it is probably unavoidable that some would be. The expansion is focused on MP. Improvements elsewhere as well, but mostly MP.

Civ2 had what, 3 or 4 expansions? I hope that most all reasonable people can be satisfied before the book is finished on 3.

                1. Scenarios was a major selling point of PTW, before it was put on this 'wishlist'. So I feel quite justified in expecting a scenario editor, and quite justified in feeling pissed off now that it's not goling to happen.

                2. You'd think that Firaxis would learn from one game and apply that knowledge to the next in the series. They already know how to make a scenario editor. Scenario editors for other games have forced diplomacy and events - it's not exactly some big, arcane secret. And I don't particularly feel that I should have to buy 5 products in order to get the full game - you're looking at over £100 there, at full price (maybe £90 if you're lucky) - that's $160!

P.S. congrats on reaching Emperor, btw

You see, the biggest error was in early development of Civ3.

It looks like they hardcoded many things pretty early, which makes changes and adaptation to more workable editor more difficult (from programming stand point)

The only strange thing is thay knew about need for scenario editor later.

So it's pretty strage why they did those things in first place.

You could say that they triped themselves.

Does anyone think that Firaxis might be holding back some details of the expansion pack to be a sort of surprise to the consumers?

I hope so because while I'll buy the expansion pack for the MP and the new civs, there's things I felt should've been included that weren't.

Oh, and also for the Airbases too because no Airbases just pisses me off...

Oh, I see - I'll spend £20 just in case Firaxis have put in events and forced diplomacy, even though they've already said they haven't? Right...

Yes, you might want to be a bit more specific when you ban someone - I actually thought this was just a warning - Hazie says "Hi", btw...

Wow. I didn't know that. Jeez. Firaxis continues the rip-off and sinks to levels that surprises even me.

So all of us who said almost a year ago that Civ 3 was rushed badly to the stores in order to be there for the Christmas buying season were right. Told ya.

The game ripped me off last November being very buggy and beta. It continues to do so being unable to satisfy the demands of the gaming world.

All we can hope for now is Civ 4 comes out within the next few years and it is not made by Firaxis, because if it is I won't buy it.

If PTW has no scenario editor I may as well remove the entire game from my hard drive, as that is the only reason I was keeping it.
