    Where do you live?
I live in Perry and I got Civ3 (in ogden) the day it came out for $40, I got the sims expansions for $30-$40 each, yesterday I got Unleashed for $32.94 day it came out here, and the Sims is about $45.

Was this in the last Chat?
Before that they said that they could not change it, but they could make it say turns instead of years.
Was gone for two years, I'm back now.

why doesn't your government buy one copy of the game and distribute it freely to anyone who wants it? :-D

Hm... in Germany we call them "Pommes", which is the french word for apple... comes from "Pommes frites", which is short for "Pommes de terre frites"... which means fried (sp?) potatos...

This means that you can build mods and share resources without messing up a previous mod or the original files and without having to copy files around.

                          Yes, could someone clarify this,

With PTW, will be be able to set what unit of time one turn represents?

Can we set at what points the time intervals change?

And could we have a civ game starting in 1936 and ending in 1945?

Are the new increments from a list, or can you type them?

They've done a good job in supporting Civ3 so far, so I can't really expect them to keep coming out with patches. Therefore, I'm more than happy to pick up the XP and continue supporting the Civ franchise!
Someone explain to me how Civ3 could be considered a Sid Meier product. Okay, he might have given some pointers - but we all know this is really a Jeff Briggs project.

EDIT: Just to be clear on this, I have indeed been an avid fan of Civ3 and Firaxis. I was perfectly happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, that someday we would indeed be able to create really cool scenarios. Even if only a minority of people would have bothered creating them, I'm sure that a majority of people would have played them. I trusted Firaxis. I kept the faith when all around were losing theirs. But I was let down. Badly.

And on a final note - can we set how much of the map is explored by each civ? Wouldn't it be funny if, in a WW2 scenario all the countries had to explore the map and make contact with all the civs? Wouldn't that be funny? Actually, no it wouldn't.
