Thoughts on 'that thread'
Hmmm. Very interesting.
What point does that thread serve? Vox already has the sympathies of most of the other players, and most likely of each official team. So why post the thread?
Simple, to allow a forum for prominent members of the other teams to address us in an attempt to weaken our resolve and attempt to cow us into allowing Vox to remain as a small presense at the expense of our power. Togas, that figures. MasterZen, no surprise. vondrack? Threatening? This is an interesting turn of events. Curiously, in this thread GFarb appears as a foil to lessen the impact of GoW's position. Perhaps they do not wish to risk too much in antagonising us as the fourth power of Bob.
What's that? Fourth power of Bob? You bet your buns on it. If Vox goes down, we will be one tile from GoW, and a short, Lighthouse assisted cruise from RP. For all intents and purposes, we will be as Bobian as the British are European. Seperated by snips of water easily navigated by us, but which serve as our ramparts to guarantee the security of our island realm. This upsets the equations mightily, and thus the efforts to undermine our resolve to finish Vox now, before any of Bob could be in a position to stop us.
The most curious bit, to me, is the stake of Lego. Where do they sit, and why would they care? Are vondrack's efforts made out of some sense of loyalty to a civ who is dying as a consequence of carrying out Lego's bidding? Or would an official with Lego go so far as to threaten us, even if he disclaims official status, simply to keep a trading partner around? A trading partner who is now crippled beyond any ability to recover. What does Lego gain if Vox remains on our land?
Hmmm, this is all very curious. Truely, in this game we live in interesting times.
