I offer to let someone manage my land (008 Apolyton NE1 iirc, i know it's 008 if the location is incorrect) and do anything with it except sell it for $175 a turn. It produces 2 food, 1 commerce, and 1 shield a turn. The already stockpiled 2f/1c/1s comes free with the land. I am effectively renting the land. I still own it, but you can sell whatever it produces. Currently, the price is significantly below what the land would be worth by the market values of the 3 commodities. The rent would be effective for 5 turns (minigame turns, there is a difference between them and realgame turns isn't there?) and will then be renegotiated.

I think jdd has a point. If we could all be here during the last hour before the closure of the turn, prices for all us would settle to $1 below the default price. Unless there is more supply from the nobles than demand. In that case the price would drop to $1.
So, why not ask everybody just to post the amounts they want to sell and to calculate the new default price, as we did now. We then all sell against the final default price (even if supply exceeds demand. Let's say the stuff is exported). Of course, in case the default price drops below his minimum price the noble may still change the amount he sells but that us up to the noble. If he does not have the time he just sells against this low price.Franses (like Ramses).

I'll point out that I TRIED to get all the food producers to organize so that we could sell all of our food at the maximized price, but everyone ignored me.

GhengisFarb: Deal. In five turns, we can either renegotiate a new price or cut the deal completely. If you've successfully started some construction projects after 5 turns, I will reward you in some way.
The deal is effective starting turn 2 (the next turnthread).

i see some healthy debate going on... I am happy to leave it in your hands, you seem like a reasonable lot!
but try doing the debate in the other thread, and let this one be for the trades and deals. just to keep confusion down in this thread. thanks!

But, let's face it. Nobles never got along, with us backstabbing and undercutting one another it will actually lay a good realistic environment for the game.
Captain, yes I'm confirming.

Government Land Agent Turn 2 Declaration
(In default of other applicants, I am governement agent for now, unless anyonw objects, or someone polls an election; I suggest Turn 15 would be a good time for one.)
Captain has decreed that the State should not produce. Therefore State land is open to LEASING. The State owns the following tiles, and will lease them for 14 turns for the following amounts of money, payable PER TURN. If there is competition for leases, the highest bidder will be favoured.
007 Apolyton NW12 (Mined grass rd) $80
010 Termina NE (Mined grass rd) $80
016 Tassagrad N (Mined grass rd) $80
017 Tassagrad NE (jungle) $20
019 Tassagrad S (grass rd, mine?) $75
020 Tassagrad SW (mined grass rd) $80
022 Tassagrad NW (jungle) $20
027 BHQ NE (jungle) $20
028 BHQ S (jungle) $20
030 BHQ W (mined grass river) $120
031 BHQ NW (mined grass river)$120
The deadline for leases closes at 12:00 GMT on Saturday.
The following salaries have been provisionally set:
Ministers: 150$/t
Deputies: 100$/t
Newspaper Editor: 80$/t
Paper Co-Editor 60$/t
Judges 55$/t
Army Pay: currently 0 (thank God for Despotism!)
Should others be included? Are these salaries reasonable? Feedback please.
The Government currently has no cash, so salaries will not be paid for the moment. Salaries may be paid when the Government acquires sufficient money. Only Public Officials acknowledging their claim to the salary in the Mini Game forums will be considered. (The money still disappears from the treasury, though, as they still have to be paid.)
TAXATION by self-assessment (see other thread) will not be carried out until Turn 16. For now, taxation will be at 10% of initial land cost. Taxation will therefore stand at $1390 per turn for the next 14 turns.
(Edited for taxation figures and clarification on salaries.
EDIT: All Government Agent decisions are being postponed until after the Agent election at the end of this turn )Last edited by sc369; August 23, 2002, 03:09.
