Our best shot would be to... internationally... settle the case once and for all whether the Uni is to be considered an independent nation, or at least try to start such a case, and meanwhile do our thing.

An option is to try trading techs with Zak just before we probe rape Yang. Even if they have infiltration on us, they could never tell how we received all of these techs. As I see it, we could get 4 probe operations (at least) out of the Hive: 3 foils and at least 1 probe ready on the border to infiltrate Yang Mine. If we can get for instance Doc:Init from Zak.

In response to the communiqué by IT Mart

1) The flawed logic and mathematics in your communiqué may indicate why the Angel economy is performing so poorly compared to the Spartan one. The annual interest rate of the loan in question is 82/118, divided by 100 = 0.69%. This is ridicously low. By comparison, a common practice such as harvesting a forest with a supply crawler returns an annual profit of 6.7% on the investment. Almost ten times higher. Why, if the Angels believe a 0.69% interest rate is very high, the Federation would be more than happy to lend money from you after this matter has been arranged.

2) We are not asking for any money to be transferred to the Federation. We are asking for the credits to be returned to Minerva Bank - with headquarters in the University Protectorate - from which the money was fraudulously obtained.

This formula tells me a 66% above cost increase is wanted.

What S is saying is 118 x 1.0069 = 200 when in reality it is 118.814.

Maybe we should agree to their math and pay 118 x .69% to them.

Or better yet 82 x .69% = 82.5658 at a ridiculously slow rate so when vendeta starts the loan is killed.

For this reason, we will have a gap of 2 turns, since we are after you in turn order. There is although a solution to this problem:

If Gaian Union in 2188 chooses Cyberethics as the next research technology, after receiving from us:
- Cyberethics
- Presentient Algorythms
forwarded from us in 2189 and received by you in 2190, Gaian Union will be able to switch the research effort without loss of lab points in 2190 to Orbital Spaceflight.

Please confirm our analysis, so there is no error in our plan.

We are in no position right now to divert energy as a payment for any value difference the deal might have because of need to rapidly expand our infrastructure and catch up with other factions, including Data Angels themselves.
