AD740 Leiden builds diplomat. Change production to marketplace. Move diplomat to New Chuckles. More exploring as per unit movement rules. Decide to ignore LF rule and move Trireme vertically for one turn to arrive on French soil. Change library to marketplace in Beeblebrox. Change tiles in some cities to maximise shields. T arrives and unloads.
AD760 French develop republic. Move settlers. Found new city named Silly Walks on French continent. Fortify exploring warrior in Silly Walks. Replace to entertainers in Bozo with two scientists. Nothing quite like draconian capital punishment
Just working off the top of my head with WoWs of each cost (200=3, 300=5, 400=6, 600=9). Anything that primarily and directly affects happiness of citizens needs sacrifice. I couldn't remember if Shake's was 300 or 400, and I clean fergot about CfC. I rarely build Police Stations because when playing solo the AI rarely gets WS, and these games rarely stay Rep/Dem into the modern age.Originally posted by SCG
any reason Shake's and CfC are left off (or police station if WS is included?)
Give those Police live ammo for the war protests!

Uhoh..... (revolution) I actually made a concsious effort to note the time of the revolution....
Having checked my turn log, it is evident that did not happen. Does the penalty still involve a bad joke..... or will a slap across the face with a over ripe herring do the trick?"the bigger the smile, the sharper the knife"

I was trying the think of that particlar castle.... but couldn't for the life of me remember the name. All I could remember about the Holy Grail was the 'Rabbit' and the Knight of Ne....
Perhaps I should have used the holy hand grenade to try and motivate my osfied brain cells"the bigger the smile, the sharper the knife"

Then bring us another shrubbery.
Then cut down the tallest tree in the forest with....A HERRING!
About the trip to France,(I think only 3 turns, not 4?) I don't use black-clicking, so I figured that since
a. we need to find the other civs ASAP,
b. whichever way I went out could be either safe or unsafe,
c. the warrior and trireme could be easily replaced, and
d. I have good luck with triremes not sinking,
I decided to risk it. Since everyone seems to be worried about it, I won't do it again. It's just that I rarely have triremes sink on me, so I got a little bold/cocky/arrogant/stupid.April City Planner in the 3rd Civ2 Democracy Game

I don't play lotto, to much of a risk. I once worked out the probability of winning the lotto. Not worth the hassle. As a banker, my advice to you is go into herring future, its going to take quite a number to chop down the tree once I get round to deliverying the shubbery.
The warrior was already over there, I risked the boat and settlers on the basis that our home continent was full. Yup I was bold/cocky/arrogent and that probably equals stupid.
I am usually lucky with T's and am not adverse to using luck if it goes my way. Of course, if I failed I would have expected everyone to say why in the name of Brian did you do that for. (My answer would have been 'because he's not the messiah, he's just a naughty boy')
The shubbery is in the mail....Last edited by atomant; May 27, 2003, 02:01."the bigger the smile, the sharper the knife"
