    Muahahahaha!

    (BETTER get Mike’s!)
    Hey, no weaseling allowed! If your society believes in human sacrifice you can't work around it. Hmmmmm…
    Amendment: Happiness wonders must be built entirely by disbanding Set/Engrs (stockpile, switch to wonder, disband all in one turn)!!!

    Edit:On further reflection I amend the Human Sacrifice Rule again to be not quite so extreme on the Happiness Wonders. Only one sacrifice per 70 shields cost should be required, rounded up. So,

    200 = 3
    300 = 5
    400 = 6
    600 = 9

    This amounts to one sacrifice paired with each camel/freight worth of investment.

        Hmmm maybe happiness wonders won’t be a problem -- we’ll just have to capture them.

        Looking at the tech tree, the first few techs seem reasonable -- Alpha, CB, BW & CL; however it looks a little different from my usual. Assuming no techs from huts or trade, I see the tree as:

        1 Alphabet
        2 Ceremonial Burial
        3 Bronze Working
        4 Code of Laws
        5 Horseback Riding
        6 Currency
        7 Masonry
        8 Construction
        9 Map Making
        10 Mysticism
        11 Mathematics
        12 Astronomy
        13 Monarchy
        14 Polytheism
        15 Pottery
        16 Seafaring
        17 Navigation
        18 Warrior Code
        19 Feudalism
        20 Iron Working
        21 Bridge Building
        22 Chivalry
        23 Wheel
        24 Engineering
        25 Writing

        I went through my tech chart & checked for the oedo factor -- Writing arrives as expected (63 techs have Writing as a direct or indirect prereq.

        Only a few days brefore the game begins...

          Maybe if we can just get Pottery just before Straybow’s set of turns…

            If you let me in, my rule will be: 'one move' units can only move 'orthogonal'; 'two (and 3) moves' units can only move 'diagonal'

              Just for clarification - will this rule apply when following rivers, roads and (if we ever get them) railroads?

                If '1 move': you are allowed to press 2, 4, 8,or 6.
                If '2 moves': you are allowed to press 1, 7, 9 or 3.
                ... as simple as that

                (yet, I don't intend to prohibit the 'goto' command, ... or should I?)

                      I've not noticed any problems, but do be aware, 'Poly does not endorse that patch.

                      Might want to edit your post before ming pays us a visit.

                        Ok, my rule is simple. After much thought. Until the development of leadership, all units built must have a defensive value equal to or greater than their offensive value.

                        Note the key word here is built
                        "the bigger the smile, the sharper the knife"
                        "Every now and again, declare peace. it confuses the hell out of your enemies."

                            Atomant proposes that, until dragoons, we build only settlers, dips, warriors, phalanx, and pikes.

                            Is that right,.a-man?

                                Wouldnt it be more fun to have every unit on mandatory goto/autosettlers?
