OK - I've got the save so I'll give it a whirl.

I should be able to post the results this time tomorrow.

I managed to sneak onto the net a little earlier than I expected so here is my contribution to sillyness.

1150 BC (1) I wonder whether I should ignore JRabbit's rule during my first turn. Just then I notice a piece of paper. On one side it says that all Crecians are liars. On the other side it says that the barber must shave everyone that doesn't shave themselves. For the moment I think I'll put JRabbit's rule in the set of all rules that don't refer to themselves. I decide to move the settler east to found a new city, building a road on route and moving the phalanx to protect it.

1100 BC (2) Settler builds a road, while phalanx moves east.

      1050 BC (3) Phalanx waits

1000 BC (4) Settler moves east while phalanx waits

975 BC (5) Machaeivelli reveals that we are the 6th largest civ (pathetic). Settler builds road while phalanx waits

950 BC (6) Leiden completes phalanx and switches to trireme. New Phalanx fortifies while other one waits.

925 BC (7) This turn I will ignore La Fayette's rule. Population heaves a sigh of relief as settler and phalanx move se. The idea is to found a city that will give us 1 move units for the opposite tiles.

900 BC (8) Found Goodie and rehome phalanx. Start building settler. (Suddenly realise ships will not be able to enter and leave Goodie ) Buy 2 shields in Leiden.

875 BC (9) Switch 1 Bozo worker to fishes for a couple of turns to give 1 more gold while wonder completes.

      850 BC (10) Hit enter

825 BC (11) Zulus start Colossus and then switch to Lighthouse as we complete it in Bozo. Bozo starts settler.

800 BC (12) Buy 5 shields in Bozo

775 BC (13) Buy 5 shields in Bozo

750 BC (14) Discovery Masonry; start researching construction. Complete trireme in Leiden and start building palace. Trireme heads towards Bozo to get a better view of land to the SW.

725 BC (15) Moving the trireme to Bozo completes this set of turns.

I found it nerve wracking, but I don't think I've done too much damage. Good luck to the next victim.

                  Because

                  a) somebody started it, so I let it complete
                  b) I've never built the lighthouse so I didn't think of it.

Sorry... I started Colossus thinking that if we wanted an early wonder, we would need to start one fast, since Trade and Caravans for quick wonder building would be far off.

                    • Actually, it's Straybow The Busy's turn. We skipped him for RL considerations, and he said he'd be available at "the start of next week." So here we are.

Stray -- jump back in here, and I'll follow you.

                      • JRabbit, let’s give Strawbow one more day, then let’s move on -- so if we see no reply by 4/15/03 -- we’ll look forward to your move.
