Ok, here´s a unit file with the outlined units. I have my doubts about outlining units. It can be useful in games but here? I haven´t seen much civ2 units with an outline except for the worms Tileset and the SDL client.

Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

Anyone tried out the units?

Alpha transparency: Making shadows
Well, it is official: Freeciv will also support PNG alpha-transparency.
This feature won't be in the upcoming 2.0 but it could be useful to get to know it. Apart from 0% and 100% transparency I really don't much about transparency either. So get some practice, here's a small test to see how it works. I've turned the shadow on this trees into a real "shadow"Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. Here's a bigger example of how this would work with a background. I've drawn the shadows with black (R0G0B0 Opacity:127) and grey (R64G64B64 O:127)
Note how the colour of the shadows will change with the background.Last edited by CapTVK; February 6, 2005, 08:56.Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. More work in progress, the terrain specials. I found the bull in a scenario by Morten Blaabjerg but it's been tweaked quite a bit.

That's probably the issue with the modern army units. They stand out less with a green background. Outlining the bottem right side might help them stand out. I would like to wait with that for a moment though. The right basetile might make all the difference.

yaks are cool, try to make a yak and you might end up with a bull,I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!
Difference is irrelevant when dosage is higher than recommended!

YS, i've seen some of terrain work you've done. Those trees stand out a lot better now.
