Well, the FC graphics systems is quite flexible so I might take a look at double-res(128x96). But for now, first things first.

      • Helicopter wanted

        update: Helicopter wanted!

Bad news, the helicopter will have to be replaced with an original one. It appears the helicopter is a derative of the one that appeared in ToT. Kind of a shame because Tanelorn's version is head and shoulders above the original ToT version.

With thanks for Catfish for spotting that one.

        P.S
While I try to verify every unit that goes into the set to see if it's a original (no derivatives or rips from another game allowed). There's always a chance one slipped through. If you think something is fishy with a particular unit and can proof it just tell me and I'll correct it.

        • The replacement has arrived. Tanelorn also had a Tiger in reserve, (or should that be on the wing)!?

          • Terrain tiles

Making terrain is hard, you have to imagine it fitting together in-game.

Anyway here are my first attempts:

This is at the start after I found some decent hills. The underlying tiles haven't been edited yet.

            • And this is the 2nd one where I've done some work on the underlying tiles.

              P.S
In this set the dithering effect has been deactivated. So the tiles no longer 'blend' into each other.

              • CapTVK: I can help you out with terrain if you want. After I commit the stuff I'm working on right now for Wesnoth I will have some free time.

That's on the to-do list. Oceanic creatures are my forte!

                      • VASTLY improved!

Hills, mountains and trees look much better. I see you've also desaturated the rivers, that helps them look like part of the terrain.

                          • I'll be away for coming week. So it's time for two things A) to show the current designs of the updated resources and B) make backups of my current work (cause you never know).

If anyone wants to have a go at the resources or some other stuff, your welcome. Try to stick to the Civ2 standard palette as much as possible.
