  • I need to get my arse in gear really

I've started drawing stuff again for other projects so there's no reason not to finish this.

    • Where are we at in the technical side of the scenario?

      Is FMK still on board?

      • Haven't spoken to him in a while - Agricola may have a better idea than me; any news Rob or John?

        • @fairline
I haven't communicated with Rob since mid-January when, like you, he had serious computer troubles. I sent him whatever Redux files I had. Also, I thought that this project was showing signs of being jinxed and wasted no time burning a couple of CD's to back up everything related to CIVII.

IMHO, it will take FMK considerable time to convert RF to TOT and implement the many suggested changes as well as his own ideas. At this stage, my watchword is "Patience, Rome was not built in a day.".

            Ah, well said Agricola

I'm pretty much done with the units - just the Karl left now. As a taster, here are the Red Front aircraft:

That's indeed a quote we are all are familiar with here.

But please Fairline, don't show screenshots of all the new units . I want to have something to look forward to at release.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

              • A delicious aero spectacle for any CIV fan!

It looks like some surreal USAAF/Luftwaffe/Red Air Force air display!

To say the visuals are stunning here is a huge understatement!

                  • Gareth those planes are just spectacular. On a side note I also have to say that I love the terrain you seem to be using the background.

I actually had a gut feeling you were saving the Karl for last, since when I first heard you were redoing this classic I figured that would be the biggest challenge in the units.gif.
