The game's log says the Chinese player retired from the game. I don't see anything in the story line about that. Anyone know what's up?

Misclick I guess, or a change in the name/password/detail in the game - he returned to human control the very same minute. Would be a pity to leave such well developed nation to the AI

Has the new player ever played MP before? Looks like they just retired... make sure they know not to do that. And make sure they fix that before the turn flips and the AI messes things up.

The tier system doesn't work well if everyone quits...

Also, does the new player have access to their PM box and have they gotten instructions from the previous player?

The new player didn't retire. I kicked the old player.
The old player missed the last couple of turns. The new player will move in before the turn ends.

The old player has been unresponsive for 4 days, I hope they'll get in touch together.
I agree that quiting isn't helping the tier system.
It's not helping anything, as a matter of fact.

was trying to finish my turn just now, but for some reason the game got stuck for 15 min saying 'Elizabeth (player 0) is joining the game, please wait'. Normally that would take like, 30 seconds, but now it literally took 15 minutes and then I just exited without finishing my turn because I had to go. Strange?
