[All of following is OOC... I guess this whole thread is OOC... can someone please confirm so I dont have to keep specifying OOC?]
Anyway... Ha! I knew that there was a dubious lack of discussion going on about the war in the story thread... Now I see that the real discussion (arguing) is taking place here... Why didnt someone tell me?
TBH, this whole development seems quite fun to me, as in a matter of general civ'ing, I would rather be destroyed in a blaze of glory than spend the whole game in a forced peace due to some arbitrary sense of game ettiquette (spelling? lol). It seems obvious to me that Inca are the Shakespeare of the game, providing by far the most articulate, engaging, and interesting stories while the rest of us are just playing the game the regular way... Warring, building, etc... and all our UN diplomacy are just useless posturing for the sake of hearing our own voices
If this is the case, I am curious about how things will shake out in Europe, but even more curious about the colonization of Africa and the Western hemisphere... It seems to me, as a new addition to the game, that War to gain points vis-a-vis other nations is acceptable (as usual) so I am puzzled why evereyone does not just drop the pretenses and start fighting to the death... Or "to the pain" as Farm boy Wesley (AKA Dread Pirate Roberts) would say...
