It was a sad day in Japan. For many years the small
settlement of Oumi laid in peace. The small village was
under mount Ashikaga near Kyoto. Out of nowhere the
mountain exploded killing everyone in Oumi and
destroying all the mines and farmlands. Word reached
Lord Kenshin Uesugi and he sent orders to rebuild
everything the way it was.
To the north of Japan a new city was built. It was
founded in the Tanba-Tango area of Japan so the city
was named Nara. He build Souji castle and allowed the
Date clan to have the city as long as they swore not to
go against the order of the shogunate. He then gave
Kaguya to the Mogami clan and told the same to them.
He ordered more settlers to be made to settle the
south, the Island to the south, the mainland to the
east, and one more city to be built in the center of
Japan. A city built of gold that would stand as the new
capital of Japan. A new day has come and like a phoenix
out the ashes so will Japan rise and take its rightful
place among the greatest countries in the world.

The envoy had finally arrived in Pyongyang; Generals Shing Sung and Jumong (who did not like eachother very much) had ridden with little to no conversation to the western city. They had a lot on their plate, and contacting Hae Mosu was imperative. Hae Mosu had taken it upon himself to travel to Pyongyang during the worker uprising (and the power vacuum) and assume control of the city instead of General Jumong. It was customary in the Korean Empire for cities and specific regions to be ruled by military leaders, harkening back to the days of rule by warlords. Hae had circumvented this tradition, and in the minds of the military elite in an illegal and self-serving way. Despite this fact, the guardsmen of Pyongyang had no recourse; ignoring an order from the Imperial Minister is the same as ignoreing an order from the Emperor himself.
The Emperor slowly rose from the great river Han, repeating the same mantra over and over again. He had realized that he had been a selfish and inconsiderate leader as of late. The worker's rebellion had cemented this, but it wasn't until he walked amongst the dead, the charred piles of his rebellious citizens, in the courtyard of his palace. Meant as a show of power by his soldiers in his mind it represented something quite different, and something quite apparent to his people; the reign of a brutal tyrant.
"And this was their reply? They called you an insolent fool?" Shin Sung asked Hae Mosu.
