  • It was a sad day in Japan. For many years the small

settlement of Oumi laid in peace. The small village was

under mount Ashikaga near Kyoto. Out of nowhere the

mountain exploded killing everyone in Oumi and

destroying all the mines and farmlands. Word reached

Lord Kenshin Uesugi and he sent orders to rebuild

    everything the way it was.

To the north of Japan a new city was built. It was

founded in the Tanba-Tango area of Japan so the city

was named Nara. He build Souji castle and allowed the

Date clan to have the city as long as they swore not to

go against the order of the shogunate. He then gave

Kaguya to the Mogami clan and told the same to them.

He ordered more settlers to be made to settle the

south, the Island to the south, the mainland to the

east, and one more city to be built in the center of

Japan. A city built of gold that would stand as the new

capital of Japan. A new day has come and like a phoenix

out the ashes so will Japan rise and take its rightful

place among the greatest countries in the world.

    • The Dai Miao and Mayan Civil War

Soon after Kukulkan and his families arrival in Palenque, the grainery responsible for the "Great Awakening" as it was called was transformed into a holy temple.

The Dai Miao (translated = great awakening) served as the home of Kukulkan and Xuruto. It was here that followers of Taoism paid homage to Kukulkan. It was also here where the mushrooms were stored and distributed.

During this time period, the Mayan people became divided concerning fundamental Taoist beliefs. People of Palenque considered Mel Gibson (Kukulkan) to be God in human form. They also had a great distrust of Pacal due to the prophesy. Many former Tikal residents relocated to Palenque for this reason.

In Tikal, Pacal demonized the elders and Xuruto. He accused them of making a pact with the God of Darkness, Un. This conveniently explained how the eclipse occurred. He also pointed out that Mel Gibson was an Aztec, not a Mayan. Many Pacal loyalists agreed with these insights, and disregarded Gibson as a God.*

The cities of Xcaret and Ulmal had only a small population of Taoists during this time, although most of them sided with Pacal. This was probably in part due to a long history of fending off Aztec attacks.

The mere thought that half his citizens considered him a deciver, and worshiped an Aztec made Pacal's blood boil. He amassed an army lead by War Chief Nacon to travel to Palenque and kill Xuruto and Gibson. To further erase any resistance, the Dai Miao was to be destroyed and any followers of this Taoist sect to be killed.

Of course word of the invasion spread to Palenque through Xuruto loyalists still living in Tikal. An army was formed in Palenque to counter Pacal.

The armys clashed in Palenque and there was much bloodshed. Both Xuruto and War Chief Nacon were killed. Gibson however survived. Pacal's army was wiped out, as was most of Palenques. What did remain of the Palenque forces however then marched north to the Capital where Pacal was captured and killed.

Realizing that the queen was Korean, she was spared and sent back to Korea with an armed escort. It seemed as though Maya was now free of Pacal's influance, and could proceed under the holy guidance of Kukulkan.

Unknown to the rebels however was that Pacal had a son. This was never made public due to fear that if the Palenque sect ever assassinated Pacal II they would surely kill his offspring as well.

As word of the remaining Palenque army approached Tikal to exact it's revenge, Pacal sent his son Voltan to Korea on the back of a jaguar.

      * Modern DNA analysis shows that the Aztecs and Maya were in fact derived from the same ancestors. More then likely, the Aztecs were simply Mayans who didn't civilize.

      • Mel Gibson King of the Mayans

Following the Mayan Civil War, Mel Gibson took total control of the entire Mayan civilization.

Many changes took place during his rule.

All Aztecs were welcome to assimilate with the Mayans. As a result, several outback Aztec villages were transformed into full fledged Mayan cities, thus spreading the Mayan nation further into the jungles.

Slavery was outlawed. It was seen as being in direct conflict with the teachings of the mushroom and the mantra, "I am another you". All Mayans citizens were treated as equals under the new civic of Caste System. Unlike other caste systems implemented across the world at this time, the Mayan version held all citizens as equals although their daily responsibilities were dictated by birth. A street cleaner held the same rank as a military officer or a religious leader.

Foreign policy was to be dictated by religion. With the advent of the Dai Miao and the civic of Organized Religion, Gibson viewed nations based on their acceptance of Taoism. Those nations who adopted Taoism as their state religion were held in the highest regards and were granted gifts, those who merely allowed the spread of Taoism among their cities were considered friends, and those who blocked Taoist believes were considered enemies of Maya. The grand vision was that Taoism would spread to every corner of mankind, and enlighten those exposed to its infinite wisdom.

Gibson commissioned the building of a giant human to signify the end of Pacals rule, and beginning of Kukulkan's rule. No longer would direction come from mortals. It would come from the mushroom, with Kukulkan as the interpreter. The realization that reality was much larger then what was observed in Maya was punctuated with the burning man. The end of an era went up in smoke, while a new era was born of the ashes.

        • Captain Pavlich ordered his men to start catagorising everyting they found in roman teritory, they gave it all names that Oldonia could rember it al lby.

He left his chief mate in charge as he himself went for a little nanan nap.

his chief ordered the food from the roman markets to be put in piles of 6. His helpers moved the piles to and fro.

Roman citizens laughed as they watched, each pile differnt to the others.

The chief grew angry even he could see the piles were different hieghts.

"Place 6 in each pile " he roared.

"We are vhief" came the reply

The chief counted the first pile.

          "1 3 4 6" he said

          "no chief it is 1 4 3 5 6"

          The romans laughed more.

In frsutrastion a roman teacher came down and slowly explained the principles of 1 +1 =2 ..

And so the Oldonioans learnt Mathmetics.

          • The Return

It had been a very long time since he last saw the city of Pierced Hill, and it had grown to more than twice it's size. He was deeply moved at the sight of his hometown, covered in the morning's mist. Standing on top of a watchtower of the Great Wall, he thought about the destiny that awaited him. He was the one the spirits had chosen to rule this world, and the expectations were high, especially because of the greatness of the Empress.

He would see his wife and acceed to the throne tomorrow. Both will ask for his attention. Esther... he remembered the scared girl, hiding from the dragon on top of a tree. He remembered how she cleant his wounds, her eyes, her smell...

Asiz sat down, staring at the palace and meditating.

"Are you alright ?" asked Sally who just joined him up there. He nodded, without turning around to face her. She kneeled behind him, and said she was confident with him being the new Emperor. He didn't answer. She told him about the time she spent with Iris. About the Empress who had to be strong for making hard decisions, but also showed alot of compassion with the suffering ones in the world. About her wisdom and kindness.

He listened silently. He didn't face her for so that she could not see the tear running down his face while he remembered the trust Iris placed on him. He had been like a mother to him, and now she was gone, for him to take her place.

After an hour, he stood up : "Thank you. I am now ready to face my fate." he said, smiling at Sally.

            • Charge !

It didn't take long for the Immortal raiding party to find the barbarian city that blocked the trade-routes between the Roman Republic and the Piercian Empire. They disembarked from their vessel and immediatly began with killing the wild men guarding their settlement in the jungles.

The first assault was successfull with minimal losses and the riders fell back in order to reform for the next charge as soon as their mounts would have got some rest.

They expected to be victorious as soon as their ship would have surrounded the peninsula to be ready to bring them further southwards.

              • The Green Tara...

The envoy had finally arrived in Pyongyang; Generals Shing Sung and Jumong (who did not like eachother very much) had ridden with little to no conversation to the western city. They had a lot on their plate, and contacting Hae Mosu was imperative. Hae Mosu had taken it upon himself to travel to Pyongyang during the worker uprising (and the power vacuum) and assume control of the city instead of General Jumong. It was customary in the Korean Empire for cities and specific regions to be ruled by military leaders, harkening back to the days of rule by warlords. Hae had circumvented this tradition, and in the minds of the military elite in an illegal and self-serving way. Despite this fact, the guardsmen of Pyongyang had no recourse; ignoring an order from the Imperial Minister is the same as ignoreing an order from the Emperor himself.

"This bastard Hae Mosu" Jumong said, "He is like a little rat, gobbling up any authority he can get his hands on!"

"Such is the nature of politics, the nature of the statesmen General. Ours a simpler, and more noble task" Imperial General Shin Sung said, the riders approached the gates of the city, "Guardsmen!"

"General" the guards said bowing to Shin Sung, "General" the guards said bowing to Jumong, "Sorry for speaking out of line, but it is a gret pleasure to see you!"

A smile broke upon both Generals' faces; "Thank you my boy" Shin Sung replied "Now, we've got to find this Hae Mosu and restore true order to this city."

"Yes sir!" the soldier said and he ordered the gates opened...

                Han River, Near Seoul...

Lama Subo watched from the bank of the river, reciting the mantra of Bodhisattva Tara, who represented the embodiment of compassion in action. "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha" he said to himself repeatedly.

The Emperor slowly rose from the great river Han, repeating the same mantra over and over again. He had realized that he had been a selfish and inconsiderate leader as of late. The worker's rebellion had cemented this, but it wasn't until he walked amongst the dead, the charred piles of his rebellious citizens, in the courtyard of his palace. Meant as a show of power by his soldiers in his mind it represented something quite different, and something quite apparent to his people; the reign of a brutal tyrant.

"Great Emperor Sejong of Goguryeo!" Lama Subo began "The wisdom and compassion of Tara shall be the wisdom and compassion of your own mind, and more importantly your actions! Tare, tare, tare; let you be free of mundane dangers and suffering, let your people be free of their suffering and danger as well!"

Emperor Sejong again submerged himself, and rose out of the water, repeating the mantra once more.

"Great Emperor Sejong of Goguryeo!" Lama Subo said again, "The wisdom and compassion of Tara shall be the wisdom and compassion of your own mind, and much more importantly your actions! Tuttare, tuttare, tuttare; let you be wise and munificent in your compassion, for this is necessary for your individual salvation, and your individual liberation from suffering. Once achieved your people shall reap the benefits of their master's enlightenment. May you achieve liberation from greed, and from hatred, and from delusion."

Sejong again lowered his body into the flowing waters of the Han, while underwater he opened his eyes; the scene was green and the water quite dense. It was hard to see straight ahead yet he stared for what seemed like minutes and then slowy arose.

"Great Emperor Sejong of Goguryeo!" the Lama said once more, "The wisdom and compassion of Tara shall be the wisdom and compassion of your own mind, and necessary to this is the wisdom and compassion of your actions! Ture, ture, ture; let you understand that your own personal liberation relies on the deliverace of your people from greed, and from hatred, and from delusion, from mundane dangers, and from suffering. One must connect compassionately with his people, with his others, whether he be Emperor or peasant. This is the only way. When you have been liberated from mundane dangers, liberated from a narrow conception of the spiritual path, and lead towards compassion it is only then that one can become Tara. Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha."

The Emperor repeated the mantra; "Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha" and once more submerged his head in the Han river...

Back in Pyongyang, Governor's (Wang Geon's) Palace...

"And this was their reply? They called you an insolent fool?" Shin Sung asked Hae Mosu.

"Yes General, that was their only reply." Hae said.

"Well, at least they're perceptive." General Jumong said laughing, the other two shot him an unamused look, "What? I'm joking, I love this guy!"

"And what exactly did you send them, to illicit such a reaction?" General Shin Sung asked.

"Nothing major, a small reaction to their initial missive, here is what they sent me." he said, handing General Shin Sung in the original Japanese message...

                To: Hae Mosu

Let me begin by saying next time you send a letter to

me watch your tone. I am not someone you should

really be having an attitude with. Second it mattered

not what you though for those lands where never

Greece’s to begin with. It is honorable of you to back

your friend but make sure you know what this fight was

truly about. You say we started it but we did nothing of

the sort. Our messengers intercepted messages for

Greece about Japan. In those messages Greece

disrespected us and forced us to take action. I know

our cultures have not met but you should know Japan

values Honor and respect more then land money or life.

Do not make the same mistake for the Greeks will not

help you if you disrespect me again.

Now that that is cleared up I would like to invite you

to my new city, which will be build in 5 days. It will be

located above the land bridge and it is safe for the

Greek troops are protecting it. We wish to share

cultures and try to establish a friendly relationship. We

are an honorable people and you like to prove it to you.

We would also like to learn more about your religion as

well if you would honor us with that privilege.

                Kenshin Uesugi
"Hmm, I wouldn't be happy about this either. And you say all you did tell him not to speak to you like that?" General Shin Sung asked.

"Yes General, in fact I keep copies of all of my messages, here, this is what I wrote. I swear I did not disrespect him!" Hae handed him his response...

                TO: Kenshin Uesugi
FROM: Hae Mosu, Imperial Minister of Korea

Do not tell us to watch our tone ever again.

                -Hae Mosu, Korean Imperial Minister
"...the Greeks say that the Japanese have rescinded their claims to the canal zone, so we shouldn't worry about them anymore" Hae said "Perhaps a message to regain their confidence is in order."

"Perhaps" General Shin Sung said "But not from you, the last thing we need is a war starting due to some personal sqabble between foreign ministers."

"I think Kenshin Uesugi is their leader, a General like yourself, they call him Shogun sir." Hae said.

"Shogun huh?" General Jumong interjected "I rather like that."

"Alright, well then shut up Shogun!" Shin Sung said to Jumong, "I don't consider this a huge issue, however the troops you have dispatched to the region was a good idea, we should have a military presence there, in case these fork-tongued Japanese decide to change their minds again. We shall send them a message, perhaps invite them to Pyongyang."

"Does this mean something has happened to Sejong?" Hae Mosu asked.

"No, the Emperor is fine." General Jumong said "Why do you ask?"

"Well, there is just one thing. It concernes Daemok." Hae replied.

"Daemok of Silla? The Princess?" Jumong asked, Hae nodded "Sejong's sister?"

"Yes General Jumong, she is here, in Pyongyang..."

Our Axeman was well on his way to your meeting however we are experiencing trouble with anothe Barb invasion in our north.

We thought the Wyandot chariots were going to deal with that so it freed up my unit. But his chariots are now leaving my territory and heading East again.

Till the Barb invasion is put down the whole meeting attendance for me is on hold.

                            • Alcetas read the Japanese message to Korea. His spies had been able to copy the message, and considered it important enough to hand to Alcetas.
                              It read:

Second it mattered not what you though for those lands where never Greece’s to begin with.

Alcetas frowned his eyebrows. 'Never'? Hmmmm.

                              and

Our messengers intercepted messages for Greece about Japan. In those messages Greece disrespected us and forced us to take action.

Once again Alcetas frowned. "What is this message talking about? Japan intercepted a message to Japan? They intercept messages that are sent to themselves.....

                              What is that like?

'sir, I have a message for you'
'give it to me, or I will kill you!'"

                              Alcetas grinned.

"I wonder what message he is talking about, I've never heard about any message sent by my father or me that could have insulted Japan."

Alcetas ordered his scribe to search for any form of insult in any of the foreign messages sent in the past.

                              He continued to read:

Do not make the same mistake for the Greeks will not help you if you disrespect me again.

"Will we not help the Koreans, our friends? What gives that idea to Japan? We may not help the Oldonians or the Piercians or the Romans or Wyandots, but we will certainly help the Koreans, they are our best friends. Maybe we should send a message to Sejong to re-confirm our friendship."

Alcetas ordered a messenger to go to Sejong to bring this message.

                              • Anaximander had not said a word since he lost sight of Jeong Jung-bu and his explore-group.
For days they had searched the jungles, but no word from his Korean friend. The Spartans suspected barbarians behind the disappearing of the Korean scouts.

Anaximander had vowed to not speak again till he would have revenged the loss of Jeong Jung-bu to the barbarians.

Then they saw a group of a unknown kind right ahead of them. "Barbarians....." Anaximander whispered, forgetting his vow for a brief second.

They screamed strange words in a strange language to them: "여기에서 어떤 한국사람든지, 나는 단지 한국어만 말한다"
"That's Korean...." one of the Phalanxes said.
"What does it say?" one of the others asked him
"I only recognize the Korean tone, I don't understand it."

"They must scream the last words of Jeong Jung-bu and his scouts to us, just to anger us" Anaximander suddenly said.

Anaximander didn't wait a second, he started to run to these barbarians who were responsible for the dead of Jeong Jung-bu.

"당신은 한국어를 말한다" the barbarian said.

Anaximander's blood boiled in his vains.
He slammed the barbarian who had talked full in his faced, knocking him to the ground. One of the other Phalanxes helped the first, together they cooled their anger upon the barbarians.

"나는 한국어를 누구가 말하는지 약 사람에 말할 필요가 있다" he screamed while he spat blood out.

Then Militos, one of the younger phalanxes stepped forward while saying: "Hey he speaking Korean, have you guys all forgot you basic Korean 101 we learnt in School"

Then he said: "Well he obviously not Korean, too blonde for that. He must be one of these mysterious Oldonians"

Anaximander returned: 'Ha well he is not strong i beat him easily"

Militos addressed the bleeding man on the ground: "Are you Oldonian?"

The while-haired man raised from the ground and immediately punched Anaximander on his chin.
Anaximander was surprised but he barely felt the pain in his face. "Well there is sprite in him yet"

"나는 지도자를 위한 메시지가, 나 단지 말한다 스파르타 한국어만 있다" the stranger said.

"stop this" Anaximander said, finally being able to control his anger again.
"I don't know if he can be trusted but lets get him to the main tent. The Korean survivors and our Generals can work out who this is and why he here."

Then from the back of the group the 5 men who had continued the search for the Korean scouts came running. They carried a message and one Korean scout with them.

Anaximander quickly walked to them to learn about the Korean message from Jeong Jung-bu:

Damn Sejong! I am Commander Jeong Jung-bu of Pyongyang, our men have been surrounded by axe-weilding barbarians, who have similar features to the fair-hairs of Oldonia. If this message is acquired our men, and possibly myself, have been slaughtered by these villains. If this message is discovered please give it to Anaximander of Sparta, and inform him to bring it directly to General Shing Sung, the Imperial Commander of Korea. A number of us have attempted to escape, but we are not familiar with the surrounding jungles. We should have remained close to our Spartan friends, but we were ambitious to map further in the name of Korea. Our ambition has been our undoing. We only wish our Emperor would have had the fore-thought to arm us better, but that is merely a pointless afterthough. And to my Emperor; I apologize for saying Damn You, but your impetus on this matter has cost your men dearly.

                                -Commander Jeong Jung-bu

                                Anaximander barely hold his tears.
Then he looked at the Korean and addressed him: "Thanks for living! You will be honoured for being here! Please help me to communicate with these Oldonians..."

Together with the Korean scout Anaximander walked towards the Oldonian man. First thing Anaximander said was:

"I must apologize for my aggressive actions to you. You must know that I had just lost my friend, and I suspected you to be the barbarian behind that. I had no right to lose control of my anger. I am sorry."

                                The Korean scout translated this:

"나는 당신에게 나의 공격적인 활동을 위해 사과해야 한다. 당신은 나가 지금 막 나의 친구를 상실했었다는 것을 알아야 한다, 나는 그것의 뒤에 오랑캐이기 위하여 당신을 의심했다. 나는 나의 노기를 를 제어할 수 없게 되는 아무 권리도 없었다. 나는 유감스럽다."

                                Then Anaximander continued:

"Sparta seeks peace with Oldonia. We seek to bury the past and look for trade partners. We are willing to supply you with technology and resources and hope that you can secure our borders in the north. We will be good to the smaller nations that respect us and are willing to be our partners."

                                which translated into:
"를 가진 평화를 찾는다. 우리는 과거를 매장하고 무역 협동자를 찾는 것을 노력한다. 우리는 당신을 기술과 자원으로 공급하고 당신이 북에 있는 우리의 국경을 장악할 다는 것을 희망하게 기꺼이 한다. 우리는 저희를 존중하고 우리의 협동자이게 기꺼이 하는 더 작은 국가에 좋을 것이다."

Then Anaximander whispered something into the Koreans ear. The Korean man hen said:

"영어로 이 메시지를 번역할 수 있는 첫번째 사람은 나의 이야기 투표를 얻을 것이다"
