  • This is a transcript discovered by Spartan Phalanx units north of the land-bridge...

Damn Sejong! I am Commander Jeong Jung-bu of Pyongyang, our men have been surrounded by axe-weilding barbarians, who have similar features to the fair-hairs of Oldonia. If this message is acquired our men, and possibly myself, have been slaughtered by these villains. If this message is discovered please give it to Anaximander of Sparta, and inform him to bring it directly to General Shing Sung, the Imperial Commander of Korea. A number of us have attempted to escape, but we are not familiar with the surrounding jungles. We should have remained close to our Spartan friends, but we were ambitious to map further in the name of Korea. Our ambition has been our undoing. We only wish our Emperor would have had the fore-thought to arm us better, but that is merely a pointless afterthough. And to my Emperor; I apologize for saying Damn You, but your impetus on this matter has cost your men dearly.

    -Commander Jeong Jung-bu

    Days Later, Spartan Encampment...

Python peered into the dense jungles, "I can't see anything Pergamos" he said to his fellow Spartan "There could be an army watching us as we speak!"

"Well, if it is there let it come!" young Pergamos said "This has been quite a boring trip, those Oldonians and their tall tales, the might black barbarians! I scoff at such notions!"

"Well, we did discover that message, from the Korean scouts. They're all dead, at barbarian hands!"

"They were a small division of scouts Python, even a unit of Japanese rabble could have destroyed them, I wouldn't be bothered by it. Besides, they knew they could have been safe if they stuck with us, and they ventured too far." Pergamos explained, the crackling of leaves and rustling of brush was heard in the distance, "Hey, you hear that?"

"Yeah" Python said, he slowly lowered his helmet over his face "I think it came from over there."

    "SPARTANS!!!!"

"Damn it, we should call upon Anaximander!" Pergamos said.

"No listen" Python said, holding up his hand.

    "SPARTANS!"

"There it is, that's a Korean voice, c'mon..."

    • Big Trouble in Little Seoul...

"Emperor! Emperor!" the guard exclaimed, bloodied and charging through the door of the Imperial Chamber, he found Sejong staring out of a window at the riot going on outside "Quickly, disrobe yourself, I've brought you new clothing!"

Sejong turned around, tears dripped from his eyes, he quickly whiped them away. He was brutally unprepared for this, and did not see it coming. He had forced many workers from their farming jobs to work upon his imperial fleet that he planned on sending north towards what was rumored to be the Roman Empire. All of his plans seemed to be falling by the wayside, "I will not disrobe, I am the Emperor!" he said proudly.

"Your excellency, they have surrounded the city, our men are working diligently to stop the rebels, but they were out of position, this may be your only opportunity to escape with your life!" the guard implored.

"Where is General Shin Sung? Where is Jumong?" Sejong said, the guard approached him and held out the clothing.

"Jumong is en route sir, from Pyongyang, and Shin Sung is plotting an internal assault, there are men in the barracks that are fighting off these rebels. Sir there is no time to delay, much of Silla's nobility has already left, the ones who were lucky." the guard again held out the clothing "I will not ask you again Emperor."

      Sejong eyed him down "Soldier-"

"Your excellency, with all due respect, I am the one with the sword, I am your only protection, put these on!"

      Pyongyang...

General Jumong walked briskly down the corridor of the Imperial Palace, he was nervous, he finally got the army he wanted and now he had to quickly bring it back to Seoul to put down the Worker's Riot. "Blasted peasants!" he said to himself.

Hae Mosu, who was supposed to be going to Greece quickly caught up with him "Do we have enough men? Will we arrive in time?"

Jumong ignored his inquiries and fastened his helmet.

      "General, what is our status?"

"How am I to know?" the General replied "We will either make it, or we will not, and it is imperative that we do, else our Kingdom must turn over to Daemok, and thus Pacal. That is our position, it is not a good one Minister."

"There must be some other way, certainly we can make some other arrangement, like the one given to Bae, a military command perhaps?"

"And put things in the hands of Shin Sung? That hack? No, we must hope that the defenses hold on Seoul, otherwise we are in for serious problems." Of course General Jumong had other ideas, he realized while this may be a terrible calamity, when the dust settles he could be in a very good position.

"General Han Gong has left Seoul sir, upon the seas as well. Our military leadership is spread about the world, this is quite a problematic situation!" Hae Mosu explained.

"I don't ask questions Minister" Jumong said, as he tossed his saddle upon his horse "I answer them," a boy helped him up, and handed him his sword "Like I've said, we'll either make it, or we will not..."

      • General Josh Read led the brigade to the top of the hill. It had been another harrowing night. This had been the bloodiest night in the whole long war with these barbarians. But then suddenly early this morning the barbarians had retreated.

The General knew that the OSS voyager was expected soon with reinforcements but it was still a day early for its arrival. No sometihng else had got the attention of the Barbarians.

He scanned the woods ahead and still could see nothing. Then suddenly running across the plains towrds the woods was a band of Japanese. The general raised his arm and the archers loaded their bows. Then as the group approached the General realised they were not Japanese, but very similar looking. He had heard tales of a far away peoples caleld the Coreans. Could this be them. Have the travelled this far? Then he saw why they running, behing them came the barbarians. Well no time for wondering any longer he thought, Any one who was attacked by barbarians was a friend of th genrerals. He gave the holler and ordered his men down the hill.

The swinging of axes and the screams of men filled his ears as he tried to urge his men faster to cross the woods and out to the plains beyond. But it was to no avail It was to ofar to travel. By thetime his men arrived the barbarians had dealt the death blow.

Gerneral Read fell to the gorund in despair. Why oh Why werent these people warned by someone of the terrible bqrbarians. Who would cross this valley so slightly armed.

He gave orders to bury the dead. He didnt know if the Korenas had a traditional death service but the general gave thanks to the Great One for the short but hopefulyl full lives of these brave men.

As the last body was buried, the barbarioans returned. His men were too tired from running and diging graves to fight so he ordered them into the woods and back up the hill for safety. Tomorrow they would be rested and now it not long till reinforcements arrived.

He found his young corporal, chief of the messanging service waiting for him.

the corporal passed on the message he had recieved from Oldonioa central.

        General Read ,

        From high command

We have recieved word that the Mayans, Greeks and Koreans will soon be arriving in South Oldonia province. We have beeb requested by Davros himnself thay you maske them feel welcome and you are charged directly with their safety. Pleaase inform us when they arrive and are houses safely in the city.

The General spat on the ground. "Damn those crazy people"

he looked to the south and owndered how far the other nations were.

"Son " he said to the corporal. " I need you to run to the south and warn the others. Hoepfully they have sent armed soldiers not brave scouts. Warn them of the barbarian activity. Guide them through the forrest to my tent. Run and be safe my boy."

The corporal turned and ran as fast as the wind.

He followed the coast south and avoided being seen by the babrarians camped to the East.

Finally he entered the Jungles of Death. To the West he saw a sight that brought cheer to his young heart the OSS Voyager was heading north. He had heard that on board were the experienced troops from the Western Wars with the barbarians. The Axe brigade led by the four Axe weilders. He continued south and heard in the ditance noise of people.

He stealthy approached to see who they may be.

        • The corporal paused about 100 metres dow nthe track from the strange voices , he did not understand any of them. He suddnely wondered why he hadnt stopped to tel lthe General he didnt speak any spartan.

He crept ahead slowly wondering how to deal with this problem, then he remebered the stories from school . Captain Kirk had been to both Sparta and Korea, he remebered that all the southern nations were multilinguist and all spoke each others languages well.

He raised his arms to show he was a messenger not there to attack and he started yelling out in his best Korean "... Hello, can anyone hear me, I am from Oldonia, I am here to give a mesage......
He walked forward slowly hoping someone over there understodo korean.

          • Two Korean men stumbled forward from the jungles, they were both bloodied and one was actually missing a hand.

Python quickly ran to their aide, as Pergamos waited in case of an ambush, "Korean brothers, what has happened!"

"Oh, you were right Commander, Commander!" the Korean soldier said, his Commander was nearly passed out from the loss of blood.

            "Is he alright?" Python asked.

"He's lost a lot of blood, this is Commander Jeong Jung-bu, he said the encampment of Anaximander is here. We were assaulted by barbarians, I think we were the only two that escaped."

"Alright, Pergamos! Bring water, and a torch!" Python yelled, Pergamos quickly obliged.

"A torch Spartan?" the soldier asked "It isn't very dark."

"No, it isn't Korean, but if we don't burn his wound he will die..."

                      • Hmmmm, I had the intention to start a new thread at the beginning of the next month.

I also always split the old thread into an old one and a new one, incorporating some old posts. That also transfers the old 'viewcount' to the new thread, which is just nice, to see how often we've opened the story thread.

I'll try to fix that later today.

                        • Conclusion of the Egypt-Campaign

                          City of Meeting, Central Plaza

Asiz stepped on the balcony of the town hall, facing his army that had gathered on the large square.

" Soldiers, you have endured alot. I have promised glorious battles and all you've got is a pillage of an almost empty town. I have thereby failed you.

But don't you think you have risked your life by crossing the desert for nothing. You are allowed to keep anything you could save from the ruins. The portuguese have honored their promises and paid the Empire well for your patience.

Your bretheren in arms of the Immortal divisions didn't even get the chance to join the pillage. But i don't forget their readyness. I hereby gift the galleys you can see in the harbour to Commander Zul'Kha and his regiment. You will be the Empire's voice on a mission to the south. They will make contact with new civilisations, and will stand in front of the Spartans in order to show them that we are worthy people. They are not on a mission of war, but on a mission of honor. May the southern civilisations be able to see what we are made of and willing to speak among equals.

I have to leave for Pierced Hill now. As you may already have heared, our Empress has been murdered, as well as general Kalimah. Now it is my turn. I will show you glory, soldiers. I will lead the Empire towards it's destiny ! "

The crowd didn't cheer. Salutating, they stared at the ground, in memory of their Empress and greatest mentor. Asiz was impressed by such an attitude. He truly was facing people who knew the meaning of respect.

Gibson returned to his burned out Aztec village to find it inhabited by only young children, and a handful of pregnant women including his wife.

The survivors of the raid wept as they embraced Gibson, his wife in particular was beside herself with emotion.

After an hour or so of hugs and kisses, Gibson began his wild tale of his near death in Tikal, becoming a Mayan deity, and being hunted by War Chief Nacon. The Aztecs could hardly believe their ears.

The end of Gibson's story told of how they were to travel to the Mayan city of Palenque to meet up with Xuruto the Chief Shaman. The amazement that dominated their faces abruptly turned to fear.

"Not to worry my children," comforted Gibson, "I am God to them."

The following morning Gibson, his wife, and twenty or so women and children made the journey to the mountain city of Palenque.

Upon arrival, they were indeed treated with open arms. Xuruto yelled to the crowd, "Mel Gibson has returned!"

The people of Palenque surrounded Gibson and his refugees and showered them with jungle flowers. Many Palenqueians knelt and prayed to him, while others could not hide their excitement and praised him with raised arms.

That night, after the excitement died down, Xuruto spoke with Gibson to update him on the status of his godship.
