  • It's early in the morning when 6 galleys leave the port of Argos.
About 600 phalanxes boarded the galleys just before they left. Destination: Meeting.

Alexander had told the first fleet of Sparta to sail to Meeting for the big meeting of all known tribes.
Alexander had his doubts about the existence of some of these tribes, but it was worth the effort. The Spartan delegation was big enough to withstand any unpleasant surprise.

In Sparta something quite unexpected happened.
Many slaves from Argos, Thebes, Athens, Corinth, Sparta, Knossos and many other Spartan cities gathered. They were in uproar to end the slavery!

"We are free Spartans! We do not deserve it to be threatened like this!" they screamed.

Alexander left his house to speak to the slaves.
His son, Alcetas, stayed home, a bit worried about his father. Alcetas was factually Alcetas 2nd, after his grandfather, who was only a peasant.

While Alexander spoke to the slaves many of them became more angered.
"Slaves of Sparta, listen to me!" he said
"Our society needs you! You are no lessen citizen of Sparta, you are most valuable!" he continued.

But some of them suddenly ran to the front, all people started to move, when suddenly in the back of the centre-square some slaves started to fight with some citizen.
Unrest increased, people started to move, more fightings started.

Alexander stepped forward and said with a big voice: "Stop this madness!"
Some aggressive slaves started to throw rocks at him.
He was hit with a big rock on his forehead.
He fainted immediately. Some kept throwing rocks at him.

Alcetas left his house and ran to the mob, worried about his father.
Slaves started to kick his father.

Alcetas loved his father, without any weapon he throwed his body between his father and the slaves. He started to fight everyone who dared to close in to his father who was heavily bleeding on the ground.
Some slaves were killed by Alcetas' bare hands.
The rest backed away from this young skilled fighter.

    The mob calmed down.
Alcetas kneeled down next to his father.
"Alexander?" he asked, while crying because of the many wounds.
    Alexander was dead.

Angered Alcetas raised and faced the mob.

"You have killed Alexander, our leader!
He was a good man, a good leader! He wanted to listen to you! Who will lead us now? Who will listen to you now?" he addressed the slaves.

"You are his son!" some said, "you listen to us now!"
Alcetas thought for a moment, and said: "I AM his son and I will rule in his place, like my son will succeed me one day. And I will listen to you, but first we bury my father and mourn over it."

"Not before you promises us to end this slavery" the slaves said

"I will end the slaver if you promise to continue to work hard for Sparta" Alcetas said.

    Then Alexander was buried.

    • Just when the period of mourning had ended a messenger from Japan came.
He had a long talk with Alcetas.

When the messenger left Sparta again Alcetas said to Aximos: "Aximos, war with Japan may coming to us. I honour my father by living up to his warnings towards Japan. Nothing will change now I rule. Run to Argos and try to catch the fleet that sails out to Meeting. Tell them to sail to Japan instead, the can use the just founded harbour city to sail to Japan.

After you've been to Argos, move to the land bridge and inform all phalanx units to move to the famous city spot to secure it. Make sure that no Japanese group of settlers will be able to settle on it"

      Aximos immediately left.
Soon many units of Phalanxes were moving towards the land bridge. The battle for the land bridge was about to happen.

Alcetas also sent messengers to Korea and Maya to ask fo help.

      • Takauji received word or what happened to Alexander.

It only showed to prove his point even better. Those

without honor are not fit to live. He was curious about

the resolve of the New Greek leader. Why would they

defend a place that is not theirs? They gave Japan

nothing for it yet they have the audacity to continue

guarding it. Not only that but they go and ask Korea

and the Mayans for help. This is a true show of how

humorless the Greeks are. Japan has very few troops

yet they continue to want war against us. They are

proving how cowardly they really are. Why would

someone who is clearly larger both start a fight over

land that is not theirs and also gather two other big

counties to join? Japan asks for no help from others to

fight the Greeks even though it is out numbered. We

will fight if we must though for the sake of all we hope

the New Greek leader will come to his senses and

realize what he is doing is both wrong and brings even

more shame upon himself and his people.

        • End of Ashikaga Shogun

Takauji walked to the center of the city. He was drunk

from the celebration he through in the castle. Was he

approached the monument dedicated to Suizei he fell to

his knees. He cried out to the frozen figure and said,

What must I do my lord. Have I not

served you well? Please answer me I beg you.

At that moment he say Suizei, he walked to him and

Seizei spoke. My dear friend you are a

great military man but you are a poor leader. You have

dishonored yourself and our nation by your foolish

actions towards the Greeks. It is time you end this and

take whatever honor you have left in death. Only then

will Japan be able to gain a true leader until my son is of

          age.

Takauji did as him master told. He took his knife and

killed himself in the middle of the city. The next morning

screams were heard coming from the city. The dead

body of Takauji was found in front of Suizei’s

monument. With Takauji now gone the defense of

Japan now lay in the hands of a young warrior known

          as Kenshin Uesugi.

              [OOC]
Don't worry, I don't ask the Koreans or the Mayas for any real help. It's just that Sparta secures that specific area for Korea and Maya. It's only a formal thing to do when you fear war is coming, inform your friends.

I won't ask help from Korea and Maya against Japan, don't be afraid!

What does this have to do with Japan balking a Greek deal with Korea/Maya? And with Japan settling a Korea/Maya claim backed by Greece?

                • A Dark Shadow...

Bae Hyeongyeong slowly hobbled back into his home. The funeral services for Alexander had taken a lot out of the old man. He threw his cane to the floor and carefully positioned himself in a chair. He pulled out a peice of parchment and began to write...

                  Emperor Sejong,

I am aware that things are not going well in Korea. The worker's uprising, and the loss of your scouting party under Jeong Jung-bu would take a toll on even the most steadfast of leaders. And I regret to inform you of another issue that has recently arisen. Honorable Alexander has been killed, in a similar slave uprising, here in Greece. His son Alcetas has taken up the business of government, he is young like yourself. The Japense have balked at the Spartan offers of land and resources, and insist on securing the canal that the Spartans have offered Korea. This is a most disturbing turn of events, they have painted out Spartan friends as dishonorable. I promised Lacadeamon many years ago to always uphold Spartan honor, but I am an old man now, and hardly unable to walk. This ruler of Japan rebukes the generous gifts of Sparta, he defies logic in the name of Japan's defense. Which makes absolutely no sense; they bring upon them the armies of the Greeks in the name of so-called defense of Japan. A dark shadow falls upon our people, and it is up to you, young Sejong, to bring light to the darkness. I do not suggest you invade Japan, that is unnecessary, however you must back the Greeks. If not for Korea, and if not for your own glory, do it for an old dying Korean General. I am personally going to suit up and travel with Alcetas to the north to ensure our position, I ask you send what forces you can.

                  -Bae Hyeongyeong
                  Outside of Seoul...

The worker's uprising was quickly subdued; General Jumong arrived and slaughtered all the men who rose against Sejong, for his part Imperial General Shin Sung managed to retake the palace and restore Sejong to the throne before Jumong's arrival. But it was certainly Jumong who did the most work, his men from Pyongyang proved once more that Pyongyang provided the most valiant soldiers to the Empire.

"Peasant!" General Jumong said, to one of the rebels "I see you once had fire in your heart, now you cower before me, your lord!"

"G-General, I was only doing this f-for my family." the peasant said, he was assured he would soon join his comrades.

"Carry your f*cking friends faster you pig!" the General said kicking the man to the ground.

General Shin Sung arrived on horseback, the Generals didn't like one another, but this was no time for petty rivalries. This was a time to gain revenge upon their enemies "General Jumong, how many are among the dead?"

"Imperial Commander!" Jumong said, kneeling respectfully "Thousands, uncountable I would say, and hardly any survivors, which is why these piles are taking so long, and numerous. We've only got one rebel building one at a time."

"I don't care if it takes a month! They will pile this miscreants up for their Emperor, and for the putrid corpses of their allies!" General Shin Sung said, he felt upstaged by General Jumong and wanted to exert his authority, especially in front of the troops.

"Agreed sir, KEEP MOVING PEASANT!" Jumong said, again kicking the trembling rebel to the ground.

"S-sir, I am trying, but you keep kicking me." the peasant said softly.

"What did you say to me?" Jumong said, pulling out his sword "Do you think this is a f*cking game boy?"

"No sir... are you going to kill me?" the peasant asked.

"What would you like me to do with you peasant?" Jumong asked.

                  "I, don't know sir-"

A rider quickly arrived "General Shin Sung, I have a missive from General Bae, from Sparta sir!" the soldier said.

"Hand it to me!" the General said, the soldier quickly obliged, General Shin Sung opened up the missive "Damn it! Damn them!" he yelled.

Jumong quickly looked up "What is it General?"

"It seems the Japanese intend on establishing a settlement in our claim, the one promised us by Greece." the General explained "And Alexander has passed from the living, his son now rules Sparta."

"The Japanese? Who are the Japanese?" Jumong asked.

"Not sure, nobody knows. The Oldonians spoke of them to me, to Sejong and Bae. They are a race from the north, north of Greece beyond the land-bridge." he looked around, the sight was not pleasant, the burnt and bloodied corpses of rebels and soldiers littered the battle-field "General, stop toying with that peasant!" Shin Sung barked.

"Very well sir!" Jumong replied, and quickly shoved his sword into the peasants back, kicking him into the pile he was just building "That's enough anyway."

"Okay, have Captain Giang Moon oversee this, we must return quickly to Seoul and speak with Sejong and the Imperial Ministers, this matter must be handled quickly."

"I don't understand sir, what are we going to do about this?" Jumong asked.

"Not sure, this is a diplomatic issue, but I would suggest you gather some troops, we may need them. We must find Hae Mosu at once!"

                  • While Alcetas stood in the room that was used by Alexander, he was quite unimpressed. "Why did my father lead Sparta in such an empty place! We should honour his bloodline by building something big!" he said.

"We should build a palace, and I will be king! Sparta is no longer a group of city states, we're a kingdom! And the bloodline of Alexander will secure it!" he decided.

                    Then somebody entered the room.
                    "Sir, I have news from....."

"Sir?" Alcetas said... "don't call me 'sir', call me 'majesty' for I am your king!"

"uh... Your majesty.." the messenger said...
Alcetas suddenly started to laugh: "Look at me! Feeling all important and fancy! Stop staring at me with that confused look in your eyes! I'm just good old Alcetas, for a few moments I felt like I was truly important, but the Spartan spirit came back to me. Call me sir, or just Alcetas, or whatever you want. I may be your king, but that's it. I'm only your king."

"Sir.... Majesty... uh, Alcetas, the messenger continued, I've heard rumours about the dead of Takauji of Japan. Japan is now Apparently being lead by some unknown boy 'Kenshin Uesugi'"

"He died? He died before the war started? Was he killed? Or ill?" Alcetas surprised asked

"No, the rumours say that he committed suicide!" the messenger said. "I think that you have scared him, your diplomacy, backed up with our armies, most probably have made him do this. It's a Japanese tradition to commit suicide when your honour is broken."

"Well, whatever the reason is for this action, send a messenger to Japan as soon as possible, give him this message:"

                    To Kenshin Uesugi

                    Hail Kenshin Uesugi,

I, Alcetas from Sparta, King of Sparta, want to congratulate you for becoming the new leader of Japan.
I can not say that I regret the dead of Takauji, for we were not friends.

I however hope that our relationship will be better, like my father used to be friends with your precedents.

As a gift I want to offer you all the offers Sparta has done to you in the past.
We are still willing to supply you with technologies, resources and soldiers. We also will still grand you the right to settle north of the land bridge.

In return I expect you to respect the agreements my father made with your precedents.
My soldiers are still willing to defend your settlements north of the land bridge against barbarians.

We do seek the best for both Japan and Sparta.
                    Signed

                    Alcetas, King of Sparta

                    • Seoul, Imperial Palace...

The Generals Shin Sung and Jumong marched directly into Sejong's chambers. The Emperor was clearly relieved, but hesitant to show it. "Have all of the rebels been dispatched?" he asked, still wearing his peasant clothing.

"Yes sir, there is pressing news from Bae Hyeongyeong" Shin Sung said, holding out a letter.

"I know General, I know, Alexander expects me in Greece. There was just the simple matter of a slave rebellion to deal with, I'm sure Alexander will understand," Sejong said, "Where is Hae Mosu?"

"I don't know your excellency, but that isn't it. General Bae informs us that Alexander has died, our scouting party, the one sent to check out the landbridge, they have been destroyed as well. And apparently the Japanese intend on settling our claims." Shin Sung said.

"That is quite a lot of information to consider General" Sejong said, he began pacing, as he tended to do when he was deep in thought "And it was the Japanese who killed our scouts?"

"I am not sure sir, but I don't think so. As far as I know the Japanese have done nothing, except inform the Spartans that they plan on settling the canal zone."

"And Alexander has died? Are you sure Shin Sung?" Sejong asked.

"Certainly, it was word direct from Bae himself. His son Alcetas has taken command of Sparta, no word from him yet. I advise you to make preparations, we should send an expeditionary force from Pyongyang to survey the area of the canal zone, and ensure our positions." Shin Sung said.

"General Jumong, you are commander of Pyongyang. What do you think?"

"Well sire, and with all due respect to General Shin Sung, I think it would be premature to begin dispatching our troops. We have just crushed this rebellion, and Han Gong's unit has just returned from battle against the Aztecs. It may be foolhardy to move too quickly. Besides, I believe diplomatic avenues must be taken first." Jumong replied, much to Shin Sung's chagrin.

"Sire! We must act, this is no time to delay. The Spartans are going to challenge Japan, so we must do likewise." Shin Sung replied.

"Have the Spartans attacked the Japanese?" Sejong asked.

"Not to my knowlege sir, but it may have happened already, missives take time sir." Shin Sung said.

"And Japan, have they attacked? Have they settled the city?"

"We have no information on Japan sire, other than what Oldonia has told us, and none other than that ancient relic we have of theirs." Shin Sung said, referring to the ancient porcelin tablet found in Gung Ye's palace ages ago.

"Very well, I will find Hae Mosu and we will send missives to the Spartans supporting them, and try and contact Japan as well. I do not wish Sparta go to war, especially not in such a painful time for them. For now collect an army in Pyongyang, make sure they are prepared to embark at a moment's notice. We will not leave our Spartan brothers to fight for us alone, we are better than that."

"Yes General!" Jumong said "Shall I go now?"

"Jumong, you ride to Pyongyang, and begin assembling our forces. General Shin Sung, you will stay here with me and we will speak with the Foreign Minister. We will have our missives out shortly..."

                      • To: Emperor Sejong

                        Greetings, Emperor Sejong.
I have to inform you about the dead of my father, Alexander of Sparta. He was killed in a slave uproar.

I, Alcetas II of Sparta, rule Sparta in his place, as King.
I have reformed Sparta and abandoned slavery. From now on Sparta will not be ruled be the strongest warrior but by the bloodline of Alexander of Sparta.

I am glad to inform you about the end of the hostilities between Sparta and Japan. Japan has abandoned all their claims and accepted all Spartan requests.
In return we have re-offered all our gifts to them. We still consider Japan to be our neighbour and friend, despite the short period of this madman who almost lead our two nations into a war.

Regarding the relation between our two nations, as the son of Alexander I will live up to all agreements made between Korea and Sparta in the past.

I wish to rule Sparta in the spirit of my father and in the spirit of Lacedaemon.
I wish you grace and blessings for eternity

                        Alcetas II of Sparta

                        • Albert sat by the beside of Davros. He was the longest living Oldonian ever. Only ALbert knew his secrets. The herbs found in the jungle, brewed specially by the Druids from the south. Albert poured more of the herbs into a small flask let Davros sip from it.

Davros scibbled a note for Albert then smiled. Albert read the note and nodded.

"You are right as always Davros"

"guards come quick. Davros is dead!"

The guards came and saw the old leader laying their. No movement they ran outside and headed to the town to declare the death.

The elders came and they declared Davros dead and that in the abscence odf Prince Harry who was heading to Pierca for meeting, that Minister Albert would now lead the United Provinces till Harry returned. MEssengers were sent to all the governors for their agreement.

In the meantime Albert built the traditional Funeral pyre and had the elders gather Davros' belongings.

That eveing the wrapped body of Davros was burnt and his ashes spread over the palace garden.

Much later that night Albert retired to his room, he now got to sleep in the imperial palace as leader of all the provinces.

But he didnt go to bed, he headed to the far corner where he pulled a lever and the fireplace did move. A hidden stairway was revealed and Albert did descend.

At the base of the steps was a room. Candles lit the room. In the centre was a desk . A large desk with a large chair. The chair was covered in purple cloth and in the chair sat an old and wrinkled man,

"Davros, my lord. It is all done as you requested."

"Good work my young Minister. You shall now carry out my directions till i can get the druids to master this aging process fully. I will remain here below the palace. Now send word to my men with Harry, he must not be allowed to return. When he is removed then you will have the governors meet and appoint Arjan as my replacement. He will apoint you as chief minsiter. Arjan is stupid and will do as you advise. The governors will obviously never accept you as their leader, same as they wont accept me in my old age. No this is my will, it will be done.

It is a new age in Oldonia!"

"My lord Sparta have made a trade offer. I have aacepted it as you proposed. However the Koreans have cut off all communication with us and are not open to trade talks."

It is as expected Albert, Sparta know that a strong Oldonia is their best ally to the north. Korea are yet to realise that they must deal with the devil himself sometines to enable their own people to live better lives.

Agreed my lord. I have news that the last barbarians in South Oldonia are now on the run. With the Mayans and spartans advaninf from south the Barbs have no palce left to run. It is unfortunate that so many Koreans died.

Yes Albert, build a memorial to the Korena Scout in th e field where they died, did any survive ?

We hear that some survived and headed south to join the Spartans, we did found one more in the field we thoguht was al ldead, but he has been cared for by our healers.

good good. Send word to the Koreans that a survivor exists it may rebuild broken bridges. MAke sure my plans for the four Axe men of Doom are upheld. it is vital. I hear we have made contact with the Romans.

The newly appointed young captain strode to the front fo the boat.

He had big boots to fill he knew this.

Tales of the feats of the Kirk captains were taught to all new boys who joined the fishing acadamy.

The tales of adam who left his boat and settled amongst the Koreans. Forging ties that allowed languages to be learnt.
To the legends of Picard and the newly refurbished Enterprise. Picard found no new tribes, but mapped the whole east coast and his discoveries led to the path to the north.

Now here he was , Captain Mathew Pavlich. Captain of the Workboat OSS Enterprise. Oh they had come so far.

Pavlich could have taken control of one of the newer Galleys but prfred the history of the Original Enterprise. Made from the finest material in the world. Modernised over the past 4000years , repaired many times.

Now here he stood. Looking to the shore.

There stood strange people on the shore. Dressed in skirts. Not pants. The roamed up and down the beachline looking at Pavlichs boat. He referre to them in his diary as the roaming ones. Little did he know he was correct, for they were the Romans.

He sailed the boat to shore and struck ground. The native people on the beach ran to inform their leadrs of strangers on their lands.

Pavlich stood and waited . He prepared himself for this official meeting.

While waiting he sang the Oldonian Sailors anthem

                              "Oldonia heave ho.

                                Dear Great Chieften

We have done some new costings on the Wyandot highway project and have discovered that a highway through the mountains is going to take many more years to complete than a similar highway located to the south.

We are now going to align the Wyandot Highway south of the Wyandot Ranges and then into Wyandot territroy.

As we progess further we will update the maps.

Stage two is complete with a highway from Oldonia central to the Eastern Province. It is now linking to the edghe of our Cultural borders.

The workers will continue Eastward but on the southern path now. If you could please escort them through this area with your Chariot or other unit it would be appreciated.

Your two chariots witihn our borders one west of Razite province and the other East of it, we would like to see them head north to intercept with the Barbs coming from the Barb city there.

Once path clear to the Barb city we would like to take the city in the name of oldonia. If this is to your satisfaction then please repsond. We don understand your troops may be needed elsewhere.
