It's early in the morning when 6 galleys leave the port of Argos.
About 600 phalanxes boarded the galleys just before they left. Destination: Meeting.
Alexander had told the first fleet of Sparta to sail to Meeting for the big meeting of all known tribes.
Alexander had his doubts about the existence of some of these tribes, but it was worth the effort. The Spartan delegation was big enough to withstand any unpleasant surprise.

In Sparta something quite unexpected happened.
Many slaves from Argos, Thebes, Athens, Corinth, Sparta, Knossos and many other Spartan cities gathered. They were in uproar to end the slavery!
"We are free Spartans! We do not deserve it to be threatened like this!" they screamed.
Alexander left his house to speak to the slaves.
His son, Alcetas, stayed home, a bit worried about his father. Alcetas was factually Alcetas 2nd, after his grandfather, who was only a peasant.
While Alexander spoke to the slaves many of them became more angered.
"Slaves of Sparta, listen to me!" he said
"Our society needs you! You are no lessen citizen of Sparta, you are most valuable!" he continued.
But some of them suddenly ran to the front, all people started to move, when suddenly in the back of the centre-square some slaves started to fight with some citizen.
Unrest increased, people started to move, more fightings started.
Alexander stepped forward and said with a big voice: "Stop this madness!"
Some aggressive slaves started to throw rocks at him.
He was hit with a big rock on his forehead.
He fainted immediately. Some kept throwing rocks at him.
Alcetas left his house and ran to the mob, worried about his father.
Slaves started to kick his father.
Alcetas loved his father, without any weapon he throwed his body between his father and the slaves. He started to fight everyone who dared to close in to his father who was heavily bleeding on the ground.
Some slaves were killed by Alcetas' bare hands.
The rest backed away from this young skilled fighter.
The mob calmed down.
Alcetas kneeled down next to his father.
"Alexander?" he asked, while crying because of the many wounds.
Alexander was dead.
Angered Alcetas raised and faced the mob.
"You have killed Alexander, our leader!
He was a good man, a good leader! He wanted to listen to you! Who will lead us now? Who will listen to you now?" he addressed the slaves.
"You are his son!" some said, "you listen to us now!"
Alcetas thought for a moment, and said: "I AM his son and I will rule in his place, like my son will succeed me one day. And I will listen to you, but first we bury my father and mourn over it."
"Not before you promises us to end this slavery" the slaves said
"I will end the slaver if you promise to continue to work hard for Sparta" Alcetas said.
Then Alexander was buried.
