I do realize, not only that some of you are americans, but also that the idea you speak of is the case. I've heard of janet jackson.

I'm half american myself if you didn't know. I last visited the US december 2007, I follow american politics regularly. I also at times catch glimpses of american culture, from sources as varied as movies, music, newspapers and comedy central.

my argument was that: the mentality that nudity is worse than violence is illogical and silly. it was in fact a critique of that particular american notion. not of you.

I think I have guessed ONE civ-aside from me-but am starting to doubt my initial assumptions-so this Anon thing is working great. True, though, I am not trying to think too hard about it .

I'm loving the immersion of the anon too. I've read all the stories thus far and they seem quite good to me. This is a really fun experience.

Well, we still did a century or two ago.

BTW Maybe there was an uprising in a minor carpathian village, that then provided the bodies the ambasadors saw. BTW Is Carpatia named after the villan of that ridiculus anti-christ story, from the guy I can't remember, that born again people in the US seem to like so much?

        • and yes, I've read it all, and loved it.
and an.play is great to keep everything IC.

Now. Over to more serious business. The Voting is coming up soon and the way the current system is we're doing it in the following way:

          Subjective Points

We will take a private vote, each player will rank the other players in the game in the following three categories:

          - Military Acheivements
          - Diplomacy
          - Storytelling/Roleplaying

Each category would give out 54 (N*6) points total.
3 categories will add a total of 162 (N*6)*3 points.
          (N = number of players)

To clarify: You get 6 points to vote with for each category. The current system is thus: You give 3 points to whomever you feel has done the best in category A. Then you give 2 points to the player that you feel has done the 2nd best in category A. Then you give one point to the player that has done the 3rd best in category A.
          And that's it.
Then, you do the same for category B and C.
And that as they say, is that.

          So for example, with Diplomacy:

          Votes from India: 1. America (3pt) 2. Germany (2pt) 3. Russia (1pt)
Votes from England: 1. India 2. America 3. Spain
Votes from China: 1. England 2. Germany 3. America
Votes from Spain: 1. India 2. America 3. China
Votes from Russia: 1. China 2. Spain 3. India
Votes from Inca: 1. England 2. Germany 3. India
Votes from Germany: 1. America 2. England 3. China
Votes from America: 1. Russia 2. England 3. China

Add it together and you get:
          America: 11 points
          England: 10 points
          India: 8 points
          Germany: 6 points
          China: 6 points
          Russia: 4 points
          Spain: 3 points
          Inca: 0 points

BUT HERE IS THE IMPORTANT BIT!
Don't vote on this thread. Don't vote on the points system discussion. Go into your 'diplo_nation@plomp.eu' account, and MAIL it...

...once cyber agrees that he'll store and count it... and provides and e-mail address....

          • and note that it is not required that you justify your votes.

But I am sure that people would like to be able to see what makes for good posts/efforts, So if you can be bothered, put in some comments explaining why you have given civ A the top score and civ B 2nd place. Keep it short
            if you can though.

            For example.

            My votes:
            Diplomacy: 1. China. 2. Arabia. 3. Aztecs
            1. I feel that China's land division treaty was pure genius. It avoided a massive war. The most influential diplomatic act of the week.
2- Arabia's negotiation of a peace treaty between America and England was extremely skillfully done, giving them great prestige, and allowing American silver mines to be rebuilt for export to Arabia. Less influential than China's treaty, but skillfully done and very good for Arabia.
            3. The Aztec-created joint declaration with the Zulu that since they were at war with eachother India must remain neutral and keep open borders with both so they could fight things out, in India! was hilarious and brilliant.
Less beneficial than Arabia, but still great. Gets the 3rd place over Germany's trade alliance, because I think it's funnier and more creative.

that would be an average long explanation. keep it shorter if you like. "1. funny! 2. skillfull. 3. far-reaching.
but a bit more would make for more interesting reading. anyway, shutting up now.

            • Do we vote on Friday evening/Saturday morning? Do we post the comments or do we send them in the e-mail so Cyber or you can Collect and post them? It would be nice to see collected anon comments on what people think about MyTribe.

              • To Capo and Lz - guys I would really appreciated if you stop concentrating on your arguments and instead focus purely on the game.

Lz why try counter everytime America says something - leave it be - you both need to learn how to make compromises.

I fear that if we get this again we may loss players as already stated by America – SO why risk the health of the game. Don’t fight please!

As for the votes, Cyber created a mail to which we shall send them. unless I'm mistaken it is: diplo_vote [at] plomp.eu

send it there. remember to vote on all three categories. hasn't been many military accomplishments yet, but you can probably find something to write about. diplomacy has been rather quiet in some regards, but storytelling has been magnificent. will be hard to make a decision there.

try to vote in sometime the 24 hours before gametime.

Ehhr, will these comments be for Cyber's enjoyment or will we all see them? And will they be annon or will the country that made the comment be known?

                            Will the published comments be:
-India thinks Pakistan is a jerk so no points for him.
                            or
-A single country considers India a jerk, so they didn't give India any points.

                            Please answer my question Lz
