I think we should vote about diplo and military.

Since making the impression that you are a military power or that a skilled diplomat, can be just as important as an actual achievement.

Lz- I have a feeling most of the diplomacy over the game will be closed to the public eye. Any stories will probably just be propaganda or second rate treaties or in some very rare cases world changing "new world order" meetings. And even in those cases only the final declaration will make it.
This gives me an idea for a post game activity: A history of Terra story thread. People could use diplomatic communiqués and the last save ever to figure out what "realy happened".


As to history: I was baptised in a church that dates to the 11th century, next to my home town there is a beautiful 14th century castle (one actually used for defence against the Ottomans, and the seat of a rival family to the Habsburgs), I can take a stroll by the river and see the pillars from the time of the Roman settlement, which had a history spanning centuries until it was burned by (allegedly by Attila himself wile his hoard was on tehir way to the Apeninian peninsula).

You have the: Recent history, WW2, pre-WW2, 19th century (only one good industrialised war, its fascinating but not much more than the wars of German unification) and teh revolutionary years. Before that threes a bit of colonial history, that’s it. Sure I left out the war of 1812 and a bunch of other ones, but getting your capital burned down isn’t that big a deal.



I can’t play after 9.00 CET, perhaps fifteen minutes more.
This sunday I couldn’t make it before 6.00, but we could talk about future sessions.

One session a week is indeed a long wait for this great game.

Indeed the game was great! 130 turns was even good time, considering all the things that happened.


BTW I am soo happy we have random events on! They just add so much to the story!

People, I love HOTW12, can't wait till next weekend.

I haven't used the MSN much... I have a crazy idea. Why not have a diplo hour some time in the middle of this week. During this time most, if not all the players would be online and logged in. Druing this time we could have "live" negotaitions.
