I liked SMAC random events better; most of them featured if some random city didn't have a building : a penalty applied to it for X turns. If it did have the building : a bonus applied to it for X turns.1st C3DG Term 7 Science Advisor 1st C3DG Term 8 Domestic Minister

AI: I sure wish Jon would hurry up and complete his turn, he's been at it for over 1,200,000 milliseconds now.

# Enhanced AI: The AI has received many enhancements making it tougher to beat on the higher difficulty levels. The ways in which the AI will attempt to achieve victory have also been expanded.
Random events
But how would it impact the game?
I assume Natural Disaster it would be like a one turn of revolt + reduce a pop on a city?

That's it? No additions in the Babylonian spirit to the babe thread ?

random events - Black Death anyone? (pure spec)
10 new civs
Babylon, Holland, Portugal, at least one native American civ - can't wait to see who else is there
corporations as new religions - love the concept, it's something I can see happening right now (control oil, aluminum - what else?)
Maoi statues - is that supposed to be Maori?
16 new leaders, including Abe Lincoln - wondered when he was going to show up
more options for spies
more modern units - I believe that may mean diversity within naval units; they do count as units in general.
I'm all giddy.
