(except for some missing civs and scenarios)

Ie: will multiplayer be compatible, will the techtree be the same, will the great wall be included, .... ?
I quote the apolyton news item:

Update 2: The expansion will cost $29.99 in the US and require Civilization IV to play but not Warlords.

So, what's going to be the best new feature according to this press release?

Expanded Epic Game. (I'm assuming the Enhanced AI is Blake's, so I'm not counting that.)

          This sounds sweet.

Now that this has been announced, can those in the know let us know the whole roster of new civs/leaders, units, wonder effects, etc?

No, we can only talk about what's already publicly known Publishers typically strike deals with major gaming sites (GameSpot, IGN, GameSpy, etc) for exclusives and the like, that wouldn't work if all the info in such features is already out on fan forums months before...

What Locutus says... you're lucky to know who the testers are in the first place .

They do know who the testers are?
Is there a public list of that somewhere?

In the game credits . So, strictly speaking, it's known who the testers for Civ4 and Warlords were, the ones who became testers after Warlords was released aren't known (and shouldn't be ).

Okay, okay, we can't know. But not even if the AI is Blake's?

Yes, just in case we find out where their families live.

I like the idea myself. I'll playing with that option at least.

I hope they fix the Spying good it was with out a doubt the weakest link in the core game, SMAC has wonderful espionage compared to Civ4
